As he was sitting there watching. Chloe a blond hair girl wearing a mask walked by after winning her match in the current round. The rounds after that seemed to go by fairly fast. Sidney and Sterling watched as the final match had come up and it was Chloe fighting against Kaien. "Um brother why does he have a look of terror on his face?" Asked Sidney. "No idea but you'd be the same way if you were fighting her. You can't fight girls remember?" Said Sterling.

"Now this is interesting... he made it to the final bout and against none other then Chole of the River... you must be proud hey Cid." said Dohko

"That's my boy Kaien. You better do good." said Cancer Manigoldo


Kaien had an anime tear drop effect moment as he gave a wave as he took in a deep breath. he then got into his stance. "You honor me." he said as he focused his cosmo.

Both brothers looked at each other and Sidney said, "That's why he's so nervous. He's got his teacher breathing down his neck." "Go Kaien kick her butt!!" Yelled Sidney loudly not caring everyone was staring at him. The signal went off for them to start to fight. When Chloe let off her Cosmo though it was like a river had rushed through the area and everyone could feel it in the crowd. Sidney said, "Oh man that's some Cosmo."

The area suddenly started getting foggy as a mist filled it and soon nothing could be seen on the training field. A sudden crack was heard and when the mist cleared away. Kaien had his arms bound behind his back by some type of water rope that Chloe was holding.

Kaien widened his eyes as he realized he was going to be trapped. ~damn it... she's not playing around... she's going all out not taking any chances with me.~ he thought as he quickly jumped into the air looking down at Chloe as he narrowed his eyes. "LUNAR SUMMERSAULT!" he yelled out as he send a shockwave attack from his legs baring down at her as he was pulling his hand free.

Chloe flipped out of the way fast. And the ground where she had been standing before had been torn apart. Sliding back she quickly ran forward when he landed and punched the ground yelling, "Omni Maelstrom!!" Ice spikes shot up through the whole training grounds coming at him from both sides.

Kaien widened his eyes again as he got into a 4 point stance. "time to go all out then..." he said and when the attacks came it was like a blur that Kaien was bouncing off of all of the ice until he landed ontop of the cinderblocks and was breathing hard. "this woman can really dish out the power... and she likes distance... I have to get close... and watch that rope of hers." he said to himself as he closed his eyes and focused his cosmo.

While he was concentrating though Chloe appeared behind him and swung her fist at him yelling, "Crimson ice punch!" Both Sidney and Sterling were forced to move farther up the seats because the lower area was covered over with ice now.

Kaien looked back and saw the punch coming. ~Its now or never.~ he thought as he pulled back his fist and went to punch her. "Stardust Fang!" he yelled doing his 2 hit combo attack on her as he took the full hit in the face. He then went flying back as he crashed into the ground tumbling but then he jumped up and stood back up rubbing his face from the blood coming off it. "now." he said as he knew his attack would go through looking right at her and also she had her back to the crowd.

There was a moments silence and blood suddenly soaked through her silver armor. She turned around and was about to rush in to try and take him on again but a crack was heard and suddenly her mask shattered falling off her face. She fell to her knees after that totally depleted of any energy. There was mutters and whispers going through the crowd of people now. And Chloe just sat there her face bright pink now.

Kaien thinking he did win he broke free from the ice as he walked up to her. "hey... good fight." he said as he offered her his hand. He had no idea what it meant to see the face of a woman if their mask ever borke in combat. Now he was being kind to her as he smiled seeing her face once more. ~she's cute.~


Manigoldo just started laughing... "oh this is priceless... my student not only beats one of the best saints known in the silver saint class but also does the unthinkable... this is go much." he said

She blushed even redder and allowed herself to be pulled up. Moments later everyone started clapping and cheering. Everyone who had competed in the tournament came up an congratulated Kaien and Chloe as well. Sidney and Sterling shoved their way through the crowds of people congratulating the two. "I can't believe you Kaien! Congrats!" Said Sterling with a grin. He then said, "Gratz to you too Chloe. Sidney had a big smirk on his face as he hugged the two.

"Uh.. thanks. It was a great match and all but I don't see what the fuss was all about... I beat her fair and square... that's all." he said as he still saw his mentor was laughing... he had no idea what was going on still. He looked to Chloe seeing her blush. "guys your making her turn scarlet... take it easy will you." he said to them thinking they were just embrassing her.

"You don't know?" Asked Sterling. "When you break of mask of a female saint it means you have to marry her by law Kaien. So congrats on your engagement buddy! Am I invited to the wedding?" Said Sidney with a grin. Chloe actually blushed and giggled. Kissing Kaien on his cheek she said, "See you later tough guy." She then walked off and ran over to her female friends who were all squealing and jumping up and down excited. She found herself hugged by them.

Kaien looked puzzled then when he heared about marriage he froze.. then the kiss on the cheak he blushed... but still said nothing as there was nothing but silence from him.


"Now... lets see... in 3, 2..." Manigoldo was saying as he walked away.

"WHAT?!!!!" he yelled as all the birds flew off from the trees as if his voice echoed throughout the sanctuary. "I have to get married?!" he said in complete shock... "I.. but I... it was just a... Oh no."

Chloe walked back over with a big smile on her face. "Chloe you're so lucky! You got yourself a strong one!" Called one of her female friends making her blush. Sidney and Sterling were laughing up a storm. But they suddenly went silent as the crowds went silent as the pope himself had appeared with Athena gathering everyone's attention.

Everyone quickly took their seats and the Pope spoke up loudly saying, "Saints of Athena. This years tournament has a particular special ending to it. I first would like to congratulate our newly engaged couple. Kaien and Chloe please step forward." Chloe grabbed Kaien's hand and hurried on over. She stood with Kaien next to Athena and the pope. The pope spoke up and said, "Now then I'd also like to congratulate Kaien being our first place victor for this years tournament." As everyone cheering Athena unwrapped the items she was holding to reveal a sheathed sword.

She smiled and held it out to Kaien saying, "This sword has been a surviving relic of the last holy war and will be your winning prize Kaien. So it will protect you when the new holy war itself is upon us." The pope spoke up and said, "Finally for my last announcement. The wedding between Chloe and Kaien will be one week from today and you're all invited. " The cheers of the crowd became louder and the pope smiled saying, "My congrats to you two. But as another formal tradition you and the bride are not to see each other until the day of your wedding starting now." Chloe nodded. She gave Kaien a hug before running off.
