"He told me in the cell that his captives did something to him that made it that his mind can not be read" he said, agreeing with Sandra "He told me that my mind reader would not help" he said, looking at Treva steadily, knowing she'd understand why that specifically was important "She must have heard we found someone with Dyten's swords and snuck in to see for herself. But then she just vanished again" he sighed running his fingers through his hair "I don't know....how to find her, how to reach out to her. To be honest i don't know how sane i would be if i lost you" he said, looking at his wife "And Dyten and Adara have a bond that has been forged and grown stronger all their lives. They never knew life without the other" he looked at the letter "I'll see if i can gather a small force to go deal with these enemy stragglers. I wish Adara was here to make that call as well. the only person who knows these men better than her, and could handle leading a force in a mission like this, is Dy and he;s not really in a state to help right now" he sighed "I guess i could go with the men" he said. He was unsure of the idea though since he was currently in charge and felt the need to stay at the castle to maintain order, as Adara had done during the war.
He looked at Sandra and look the message from the spies, hoping it would provide him something that might help

Treva nodded once. When he mentioned going she reached up and touched his cheek. "If it would do you good to get out then go. I can handle things here and Felicia is here to aid me as well." She said softly.
The message from the spies was that they needed at least a small unit to patrol the boarder until the offenders could be dealt with or moved on.
Dyten had moved from his room by that point and was wondering the castle a bit, not really with a destination in mind, but not able to handle just sitting in the room either. He walked along silently, trying to figure some things out with little luck. As he walked down a particular hallway the flash of the woman from before entered his mind and he had to stop and hold his head once more. He leaned against the wall for a moment to let his mind clear before he was able to push himself up. In that brief moment anyone could have walked up on him without him realizing as his head was throbbing and blocking his senses briefly.

"I'm worried about leaving him though" Torrent said looking at hi wife after reading the report "He's so unsure of things. This place is not familiar to him at all. I feel like it would be wrong to leave him right away. I mean, he's my brother, maybe i have a chance of helping him." he looked back at the report. This is what he was always afraid of when it came to rule, having to choose between duty and family
A little boy walked through the hallway quietly. When he saw Dyten he paused and stared, shocked for a bit then moved over to him "Are you ok?" he asked Dyten with a worried smile, reaching out and touching his sleeve "Dyten?"

Treva looked towards Sandra then at Torrent. "Then let me go." She said, looking towards him. "Stay here with him and do what you can. I can handle things on the boarder and you can stay here to help Dyten. Besides...you would be more help to him then me at this moment anyways."
Dyten blinked when he heard the voice and looked towards the boy. "Who....who are you?" He asked, confused as he looked towards the child, feeling as though he should know him. He raised a hand on his head and rubbed his fore head. "And I am okay. Just...just a headache. Not sure what is from."

The child blinked looking at him, confused by the question a little "I'm Jakie" he answered like it was a silly question "Don't you remember?" he asked. "I grew up while you were gone" he then smiled, realizing that perhaps Dyten didn;t recognize him since he had been four when the war started and now he was seven. "I still have it" he said, showing him the small knife Dyten had given him as a gift for his fourth birthday, right before the war.
Torrent looked at his wife "Are you sure?" he asked, knowing especially during this time she was more cautious about leaving Sandra "Dyten's second in command can probably handle it....though i would feel better if it were you or me" he concluded sighing before moving and hugging his wife. After what he had just said about not knowing what he would do if he lost her the idea of sending her out there scared him a little, although he knew she was strong and capable

"I am sure." Treva said. "Though he may not know us, I do not think Dyten would let any harm come to Sandra. It seems to be a natural instinct. And she will want to stay near you I am sure. I will be okay going and I will do what I can to stay out of any fighting." She assured him.
"I will be okay, Papa. So will mama." Sandra said, tilting her head.
"Jakie...." He blinked, saying the name. When he saw the knife he carefully reached out to take it. As soon as he touched it several memories came rushing back which caused him to drop to his knees a bit of blood leaking from his nose. He held his head as his body shook a bit, the knife tumbling from his hands.

Torrent nodded and moved, kissing his wife softly "What did i do to deserve you two?" he asked, looking at her and then at Sandra with a wink
Jakie moved over "Dyten? Dyten Dyten!" he said, feeling panicked and concerned. He didn;t understand why Dyten was acting so weird, but seeing the blood worried his greatly "Dyten what should I do?" he asked, at a loss "I...I'll go get Miss Felicia" he then decided, knowing that she was like a sister and was good at helping people

Dyten just barely managed to nod his head once to him as he memories swarmed him and he was unable to make any sense of it. He drew his shield in around himself to keep any readers from seeing it also wanting to save them from the jumbled mess that was his mind.
Treva kissed him back softly before looking towards him with a smile. "I love you." She said before looking towards Sandra. "You be a good girl while I am gone."
"I will momma." Sandra said with a smile. "And I promise I will do my best to keep papa out of trouble." She said, glancing towards Torrent with a slightly teasing smile knowing that she helped him get into trouble many times.

Jakie ran off to find Felicia, grabbing her sleeve and tugging "Something's wrong!" he said looking at her "Dyten's back but he just fell and he's bleeding" he said, still really confused by everything that was happening
Torrent laughed "isn't that supposed to be my line?" he asked with a smirk before looking back at his wife "Be careful. Hopefully things don't take too long" he said touching her face "I love you" he smiled "Go beat up some bad guys"

Treva nodded and moved off to get ready to go. It didn't take long before she was rounding up those she needed to head out.
Felicia looked down at Jakie before following after him. As she arrived, Dyten was sitting against the wall with his eyes closed. "Dyten?" She asked softly.
Dyten opened his eyes and looked towards her. "I am okay." He said. "Just a bit tired."
Felicia nodded once. "Let's get you back to your room." She said softly as she moved over to help him up. "Jakie, can you run and see if Torrent can make him some tea to help him sleep?" She asked. "I'll help Dyten to his room and explain everything to you once we are sure he is settled."

Jakie frowned but he nodded doing as he was told. Not too long later Torrent came up to the room with the tea and knocked on the door before stepping inside "Are you alright?" he asked looking over at Dyten, having been told by Jakie all that Jakie knew about what happened. He set the tea down on the table by Dyten "I stole some herbs from your garden" he said with a slight smile "I guess you don't really remember about that right now though, but I've been keeping it growing while you were away"

"Black Roses." He said gently. "Small bed of them, specifically for one person." He said blinking slightly. He saw the tea and took it with thanks before looking towards Jakie and smiling slightly. "Thank you." He told him.
Felicia smiled before looking towards Jakie. She pulled him off to the side and explained what was going on and that Dyten had lost his memory and was only getting bits and pieces back at a time.

Torrent nodded and sat down "she was going to take care of them herself but she has no talent with plants, Kills them if she tries, so i convinced her to let me look after the garden " he leaned back "her room is just next door so if you're ever curious it could help you remember.she never had any problem with you going in her room. You don't have though. Take your time." He sighed " i wish she were here. For many reasons. I feel like i can't help you as much as I'd like. Not just to remember but to feel comfortable. Even if you couldn't remember her she always had a talent for making people feel more comfortable"
Jakie listened and frowned " he doesn't remember at all? Not even me? Or Adara?" He asked though he knew she said he was getting little bits back " he collapsed when he touched the knife he gave me. Did my knife make him remember something? I have more stuff"

Dyten nodded once as he glanced towards Jakie as he spoke. "I feel like I should know him." He said, glancing towards Torrent briefly. "Who is he?" He asked, hating that he couldn't remember. Everything that was there was fragments and pieces that he couldn't add together.
Felicia nodded once softly. "I am afraid so." She said softly as she crouched in front of him. "Let him rest for now, okay? Why don't we go collect Sandra and go have a picnic in the gardens for supper?" She suggested.
"Stay away from the back area." Dyten stated, though not entirely sure why, he could just feel that for some reason he knew they shouldn't go in that area because it was dangerous.
Felicia smiled at the warning. "I know. That is where you keep the more dangerous plants that you didn't want others to mess with, or the plants that were rare. We stay away from there, I promise." she assured him before looking towards Jakie.

Jakie nodded and followed Felicia out, glancing back at Dyten as they left
Torrent smiled a little " when you came up my family you were left as a infant.i guess your parents knew they'd likely be killed and left you to my father's care since he was their friend. We didn't know exactly how old you were but you were about my sister's age, just a couple days old, a week at most" he said looking at him "Jakie is the son of one of the servants in the kitchen. His father was killed, he was a soldier. His father though was your cousin. The son of your father's brother." He smiled " you took a liking to Jakie before you even knew that though. Because you liked his spirit. He looks up to you. Kind looks at you like a father figure since he lost his so young, something he thought had happened again until you showed up"
