Amelia got up as the sun was rising and moved over, putting back on her clothes from the day before which had dried by the fire. Stepping out, her coat still a little damp having not been given the opportunity to dry properly, and walked to her cabin first to check on the sailor. Satisfied that he had recovered enough she sent him on his way. She moved across the deck to the captain after she had all that sorted out and gave him a nod as she approached "Captain" she greeted looking at him "You must be tired. Shall i take over?"

Sebastian tried to keep the pain out of his face from the exposed skin hurting. "Yes." He stated with a simple nod before he moved to head down. She would be able to tell his skin looked red from the sunlight, but he simply pulled his long trench coat style jacket around him a bit further before he moved to head to his cabin. Once there, he downed the contents of one of the jars before collapsing onto his bed, clothing, boots, and jacket still on.

Amelia frowned seeing he was a little bit burnt and getting the feeling he wasn't feeling completely well. She shook her head, writing it off to him being tired and moved on to watch over the ship and make sure everything kept running smoothly

Sebastian ran a hand back through his hair before closing his eyes and letting his body rest, despite the fact he really didn't need sleep. A few hours later he was up and feeling in better shape. Having eaten something was flushing the red from his skin caused by the sun and he was able to move about freely with little concern for said sunlight.

Amelia was standing at the helm having relieved Samuel for a bit. The men were cooperating very well with get today, probably because of the impression she made the day before by jumping into the raging ocean She looked up at Sebastian when he came out and nodded to him "rest well, captain?" She asked

"I did." Sebastian stated as he glanced around, nodding once at the fact that the men were all working and there was no one arguing or being uncooperative. "You have made an impact." He stated. "There is a small island not far from here, maybe another day. That will be our first stop. I have one delivery there and give everyone a chance to relax for the evening." He knew that was going to be there only stop till the end of the voyage so wanted to give everyone a chance to relax for a bit before the rest of their trip, especially since the winds had been in their favor and they were a bit ahead of schedule anyways.

Amelia nodded "of course" she said "they're quiet right now but I think after that storm they're starting to get a little antsy. What with almost losing someone and then that ghost ship of theirs. There's talk of going on a drinking bridge to celebrate Thomas surviving his trip overboard" she shook her head at this. The men had already threatened to buy her drinks but she was a little unsure, knowing most of the men didn't know get reputation as a cursed first mate. Seeing how superstitious they were made get wonder how they would react to those rumors

Sebastian laughed softly. "All rumors start from some form of truth." He glanced towards the men before looking back towards Amelia. "That is one thing I do enjoy about the way my men work. They might bicker but they are a family and when one goes down they all feel it." He stated.

A small frown crossed her lips at his comment about rumors coming from truths can but then it disappeared and she nodded looking back ahead as she held the helm "let us Hope for calm seas until we get there"

"Would be nice." Sebastian stated, glancing towards her. "Why the frown?" He asked. "Simply stating the truth." He tilted his head slightly. "Everything has to start somewhere and while there is usually some amount of truth to rumors, they start from truth and are twisted to rumors. The Nightmare did exist at one point." He stated. "As for those with bad luck...it starts from the truth that something happened while they are on and they are used as scape goats for answers to why things happen. Some of the worst rumors to me as it puts people in a sour mood, and gets them believing poorly of themselves, especially when they have no reason to. To me, some of the best people are those rumored to be bad luck. They are usually the ones most willing to work hard and do what needs to be done."

Amelia laughed "Ahh...so that's why you chose a first mate with a reputation for dead crews in her wake" she said shaking her head and glancing at him "It's always funny how many crews get left out of the stories. The ones i worked with that still sail to this day, i just moved on to bigger ships that can travel farther." she looked out at the sea "I love the sea. I wanted to travel farther, see knew places. Unfortunately" she smiled sadly "When you travel farther you encounter things like rougher seas and pirates" she looked at him "I can handle rough seas, and i can fight but sometimes you can still get overwhelmed." she looked out again "That Pirate king that you mentioned, the rumoured one. It was him and his ship that killed the last crew i sailed with. And if i ever encounter him again he will feel my blade pierce his head, just like his did the captains"

Sebastian frowned when he heard that. "Seems I have one more reason to hate the man then." He muttered under his breath. Sebastian ran a hand back through his hair and looked over towards Amelia. "Living on the seas is a challenge, but worth it. The time on land has never been as interesting." He stated, a slight smirk to his lips. "A sirens call." He glanced out over the water. "Once she finds her way into your heart, she never leaves. She always pulls you back."

"isn't that why we all choose this life? The politics are boring but once you leave port the only politics are ship politics. "She smirked a little "It's nice being near the top of the pecking order" she says looking at him, meaning that life on the ship was easier now that she was on a position where there really was only one person telling her what to do. She looked at the sky watching the Sun as it started to creep lower "just a reminder, sir, but this is my requested night off" she says looking at him "after dinner I'll be retiring to my room for the night"

"Understood." Sebastian stated, glancing towards the sky. "The night predators love most." He whispered softly before looking down at his hands for a moment. He shifted a bit, feeling his muscles ripple under his skin, knowing that he had not had a good fight in a while and was itching for it. It always seemed to be worse on the night of the full moons, but he always managed to push it aside.

"Because the moonlight makes it easier to see" Amelia commented simply, brushing off the idea of the full-moon having superstitious meaning just as she did all the ghost stories and such "Though even that is mainly a land thing. Not really many predators in the sea that hunt at night and use the moonlight"
