"That is true." He stated, glancing towards her with a smirk. "I know, ghost stories and rumors. I am a stickler for them though, especially since you hear so many of them on the high seas." He laughed softly.

"Hmmm" she glanced at him "Next thing you're going to tell me is that you believe in vampires and werewolves" she joked lightly, though the joking didn;t completely reach her eyes "I think" she looked out at the sea "That even if such creatures existed they aren't what people think they are. Just like everything else that's different i think they would just hide because people fear them for being different and it's their lives that would be in danger, not humans" she mused, slightly serious though "If such things actually existed" she added kind of rolling her eyes as if to brush the subject off

Sebastian laughed softly, though he knew all to well that they were real, being a vampire himself. He shook his head slightly before looking out at the sky. "It is getting late. Go ahead and head down to eat. I'll take over." He told her, moving to take over the helm of the ship from her, knowing that he was not likely to be okay with joining the others for supper that evening.

Amelia nodded and looked at him stepping back so he could take over "Nothing else you need before i leave for the night, Captain" she asked, just wanting to make sure. She fully intended to lock her door and not open it again until morning. In fact she had actually installed a second lock on her room door

"I can handle it. Rest well." He bowed his head slightly before moving to take over. He was relaxed at that moment, though knew that as time went it might get a little bit harder for him to be relaxed, as he was likely to get a little agitated. He brushed that off easily though as he glanced out towards the direction the ship was headed.

Amelia went and had her dinner the moved to her room. She shut the door and locked both locks. She closed the curtain on her window and sat down on the chair in her room, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping the coat around her knees as well.

Sebastian got a bit more antsy as the night came, but he did not let any of the night crew see it. Aside from that things went relatively smoothly that night. By morning, however, a fog was rolling in that made visibility difficult and had several people on edge.

Another thing that had the men on edge was a few of them swearing they had heard a wolf howling in the middle of the night. Amelia came out of her room and stretched. She heard some of the men taking about the howls and rolled her eyes "exactly where on the sea do you think this some was?"she asked shaking her head. Or course this is what made the men nervous. "When the wind goes through the sails the right way it makes as noise. Perhaps you heard that"she said dismissing them then walking over to Sebastian

"I don't like this fog captin." Samuel stated as he moved up to where the two were located at. "To many things can go wrong now."
"I know. To easy for a ship to sneak in on us." Sebastian stated as he looked towards Amelia.

Amelia looked out then back at Sebastian "I can take the crow if you want, captain. My eyes are sharp"she offered, glancing at the crows nest then back at him. She was still feeling a little off so she didn't mind the idea of being up there. Plus she had sharp vision as she said and up there she would be able to the wind and possibly pick up scents. Of course, she didn't share any of this with Sebastian

"If you would." Sebastian stated, knowing that right at that point it was better to be on edge and cautious then to have something else happen. He whistled to get everyone's attention. "Keep your heads clear of fantasy and let's focus on getting through this. Right now everyone is on edge, let's just take it easy. Keep your ears and eyes sharp for anything. You see anything you let me or Samuel know immediately. Dotty you keep an ear out for Amelia if she needs to shout down anything."
"Aye captain." Dotty said. Dotty was a young male on the ship, probably the youngest there. He didn't know his name but had been friends with a cook named dotty when he snuck on board as a child, so he had just stuck with the name.

Amelia nodded and went over, easily climbing into the crows nest . She stepped into the nest and slipped her telescope out of her pocket, keeping it a the ready in case as she looked out

Sebastian kept his senses alert, expecting anything to happen. Sure enough, off in the distance a ship was drawing close. It's lights were off and the black flag that flew showed it to be a pirate ship after a quick pay off. Figuring that any ship sailing near it would be easy to pick off.

Amelia peered through the mist when suddenly her eyes caught the black flag through the fog "PIRATES" she hollered down "Starboard stern!" she looked down to make sure they heard then pulled out her scope to see if they were arming yet for a quick attack to see how much time they had before they would be upon them

Several profane words slipped from Sebastian's lips. "Get to your stations!!" He snapped out when he heard the related message. Everyone managed to get to their stations quickly while Sebastian stayed at the helm. "Keep an eye out up there Amelia. You're our eyes on this."
