Samuel glanced towards Amelia. "Aye, miss. Though I may be limited on what I can tell ya." The man stated even though he did not look towards her. "And a right thank ya for teaching young Jack's the nots. Boy's got a strong back but he be a bit daft in the head."
Sebastian stayed silent as paced the cabin, pondering over the most recent information he had obtained, both on a good piece of treasure and on the traitor aboard his merchant ship.

"I don't know about that. Seems to me one can't be any better than the person teaching them. From what I've heard, the former mate was not good for teaching" s she glanced at him " why would the captain look to hire a first mate straight?" She asked "typically captains prefer to choose a trusted crewmember to promote and then fill their job" she pointed out "I'm not complaining. I'm just wondering why the captain would hire someone he just met and barely talked to to be guys second in command rather than promoting someone, like you, to that position. You seem to have his trust. Surely you'd be a more trusted right hand than I"

Samuel laughed softly. "Aye, you would thing that. But the Captain be a good judge oh character." He stated. "He be running ships a lot longer then I, and he never had a problem till now. Though to be right fair...the former first mate be a scum that deserves to be restin in Davey jones locker bout this point. He used to be a trusted man. Captain got burned bad with that one, he did." Samuel rubbed his chin before turning the wheel ever so slightly. "As for trust...I had the captains back long before he became a wealthy man and was runnin dis ship."

"I could sense that from every just it brief interactions. Which is rather my point. Why aren't you the first mate" she gave him a slight smile, seeming slightly more relaxed that she had been up to this point "I hope, Samuel, that I to can trust you and earn your trust in return" she nodded her head to him then turned to holler at one of the men what was fooling around rather than doing his job

"Just keep your nose clean miss, and have da captains back and you have my trust." Samuel assured her. A soft laugh came to his lips when he heard her getting onto the men. "I know another crew you would fit in well on. At least from da rumors." He stated.
"That is enough, Samuel." Sebastian stated. "Get below and get some rest." He glanced towards him, having picked up on the conversation and knowing that Samuel was getting to close to information that he did not feel she needed to know.
"Aye Captain." Samuel stated. "Evenin missy." He said with a slight nod before heading below deck to the crew quarters.
Sebastian glanced towards Amelia. "Settling in well enough, I see?" He glanced towards her then over at the men. He let out a sharp whistle, his eyes narrowing slightly. He held up one finger which the men immediately responded to and saluted before quickly moving off to work.

"wouldn't usually let any of the men call me Missy but I somehow don't mind that he does" she missed "yelling at men isn't very hard"she responded simply looking at the captain "being a woman I have to intimidate if I want them to listen. I expect I'll have to prove myself to be dangerous in a fight before they fully listen and believe that I can enforce any threats or punishments, as well as help protect them" she looked at him steadily "some seem inexperienced a little but overall a decent crew it seems"

Sebastian nodded. "That is about the only good thing that came out of the previous one in your position. Horrid at teaching but a decent crew. He used to be a trusted friend." Sebastian glanced about at the men. "And they will learn to respect you. Most don't mess around since I came on board, because I don't deal with a lot of nonsense, especially when it is my name and my fortune on the line when they do mess up." He stated with a shake of his head. "Not that the fortune matters much but the name and reputation does." He glanced out towards the men, his eyes narrowing slightly on one of them. He stepped to the side of the ship where the others could see him more clearly, his eyes seeming to glow slightly the darker the skies got as he watched the man that had gained his focus, his hand never seeming to stray on the wheel of the ship, as though it were on autopilot.

"I am aware. They will soon learn. I am a woman I know they will stare, there's no helping it being the only woman at sea with a crew.I take no issue with that if any try anything I will simply break their arms" he had seen this at the bar when she moved against the man that touched her hair. "Let me know if and when you need my help dealing with the arsonist"She said nodding to him then moved to walk among the men again to make sure everything was in order.

Sebastian nodded once before stepping back. "Just keep an eye on our friend for the time being." He stated, meaning the one most likely responsible for arson. He intended to deal with him quite thoroughly once the others were gone to bed. However, he also wanted to keep certain things under wraps for the time being, at least until they were further out.

Amelia kept busy and made a point of watching the guilty man. Every time he finished a task she immediately assigned him another one to address so he would not have the opportunity to try and kill them again, though she knew most likely he would wait till dark to try anything since he would want to distance himself and the cover of night would be required to escape

As night fully set in Sebastian had Samuel take over once more as he drifted down among the thinned out night crew. He seemed to just drift along the railing as the fog rolled across the water. He moved to the side of the ship and glanced out into the waters, a slight cruel smirk gracing his lips as he noticed the waters rumbling vengefully. "Soon." He whispered into the air. "Soon." He then turned to move on, ready to be back on his proper ship.

Amelia walked out to find him "captain" she said, crossing the deck to find him "would you like me to continue watching the man? Being night he is more likely to try something" she said, knowing he said he preferred to work the nights so she was not sure whether that meant he would always want her to sleep the night or if he wanted her vigilant especially right now

"I intend to take care of it soon, so you are welcome to be present or not." Sebastian stated. "He's heading below deck now." Sebastian glanced towards the direction where most of the morning crew was heading below deck to the crew quarters. "I intend to make him pay fully for what he did."

Amelia nodded "may I ask what your preferred method is? The rope, the plank or the sword?" She asked it off simple curiosity, finding that captains seemed to favor a specific execution method

"You will soon see if you choose to stay." Sebastian stated. He shifted slightly as Samuel glanced down, the air seeming to grow thing with tension. Sebastian shifted slightly as said person they were after arrived back up on deck, thinking he was being sneaky as he peered around to make sure no one was watching. Sebastian had his back turned to the man's direction, his eyes peering out over the water, though he could tell where the guy was going due to his hear beat. "He is headed for the back of the boat where the rescue boat is tied. No doubt thinking to escape."
