Amelia nodded "always a power struggle with those groups." She said in agreement to his comment on it happening. She paused and turned her head, sniffing a little "fire" she said, suddenly moving out of the room and breaking into a sprint. It was strange because there was maybe just the faintest trace of scent, not even enough that anyone on deck had noticed. She ran down into the ship, moving like she knew the place and exactly where to go, bursting into the storeroom that held the gunpowder. It was just a small little fire, but it was very close to a barrel of order. She quickly stomped it out and scowled down at the ashes, wonder what could have started it

"Very true." Sebastian stated. When she mentioned fire, he raised a brow and followed after her, easily keeping up with her. "Interesting." He muttered. He frowned slightly as he moved over to it, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Already proving valuable." Sebastian stated. He glanced towards Amelia before moving over and kneeling down next to the box, not even bothered by the stench of the gunpowder. He checked over the box and noticed which box it was. "Figures it would be this box." He said with a shake of his head. "This one was some of the more valuable merchandise being shipped." He glanced towards her for a moment before carefully opening the crate. Inside what as mix of silks and high valued items that were easily worth a fortune. He checked them over quickly, almost quicker then a normal human would, and put the box back closed before standing and dusting off his knees.
Sebastian briefly looked towards Amelia. "Judging by how strong your sense of smell is...recognize the smell on he gun powder or can you match it to anyone on the ship?" Right now he wasn't questioning how she had such a strong sense of smell, as he was more concerned with finding the responsible person before they set sail.

Amelia looked at him blankly "I'm not sure what you mean. I have a good sense but I'm not a dog I can sniff out such things"she said a little indignantly "what you could do is see who smells strongly of gunpowder, which I can help with. It's a potent enough scent" she looked at the box "the other question is also, were they ain't to blow up the ship or destroy the merchandise and why?"

"Never said you were." Sebastian stated as he moved over and looked at the bag. "Never mind. I know who it belongs to." He told her, moving the bag to see a small burned mark in it. "It belongs to former first mate Argio." He stated, frowning. "Question is how it got on board."

"I did not mean to imply you were insulting me"Amelia said, not wanting him to take her for someone over sensitive "I simply many that what you were asking would be impossible for me unless I were a dog" she peered over at the bag "had a lot of issues with your former mate it seems" she said connecting what he said early with this "with your leave I will go back up and monitor the crew. Maybe I can get a sense of who set the fire or if anyone saw anything "

Sebastian nodded once. "Make sure everyone is ready to leave." He told her, knowing that they needed to get underway and as quickly as possible. If nothing else, he could always deal with the traitor at a different time. A fanged looked of anger passed his face, his back turned to Amelia. It quickly disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared before he moved to head towards the captains quarters.

She nodded and moved onto the deck. She walked amoung the men watching and correcting anything that was amiss. As she did though she subtly sniffed the air trying to detect the smell that she had indeed gotten off the stuff. Though she had argued that she could not do what he expected she had picked up the smell of at least two men off the stuff near the fire

Sebastian ran a hand back through his hair as his eyes surveyed his quarters. "Hello Samuel." He said in greeting to one of the sailors that came in."
"Sir...I can tell you are agitated." HE stated as he bowed his head in greeting.
"Indeed." Sebastian stated, glancing towards the man. "We may have to call her up for aid." He stated.
"Aye, sir. If it is your old first mate indeed we may. Though is he not the new pirate king now?" Samuel asked.
"I believe so." Sebastian stated as he rubbed his chin. He moved over and grabbed a bottle off the shelf. He pulled the stopper out and easily chugging back a bit of the contents before setting it back where it had been previously with the stopper in it once more. He reached up and wiped away a trace of the red liquid before glancing towards Samuel. "Not a word to the others." He told him.
"Aye Captain." Samuel stated before moving to leave the room.

Amelia was just about to knock as Samuel opened the door to leave. She blinked for a second and stepped back out of his was so he could pass if he wished

Samuel bowed his head slightly. "Miss." He stated easily as he moved past.
"Come in Amelia." Sebastian said, his back to the door, though he knew it was her as no one but Samuel came near his quarters usually. Sebastian was peering over maps at the moment, his quarters also decorated with different maps, including a map of the vampire island that was considered a myth. Many thought it was just a spoof map, though Sebastian knew it to be real. With a glance towards Amellia he then turned his attention back to the maps. "Everything ready to depart?"

"we are prepared save for one thing" Amelia answered easily "I think I've identified the person who set the fire" she said leaning against the desk "there's a man with blackened fingers and smells of gunpowder. He was also on shore to help load when I came back up. Likely because he wanted to avoid dying in the gunpowder blast. He's aboard now again though."she informed him. All of this was true but it was not how she had truly detected him "do you want to address this now or at sea?" She asked, since harsher judgement was easier at sea without officials to monitor things

Sebastian nodded once. "We will deal with it at sea." He stated. "The man nearly cost a fortune, and potentially the harm of my crew." He stated, a scowl present on his face. "One thing I don't put up with is a traitor." He stated, his eyes narrowed slightly, a slight flash of red passing through the orbs that were his eyes. With a slight shake of his head, he calmed himself and turned towards her. "Let's get moving. The longer we waist time here the longer it takes for pay."

Amelia nodded and moved out and called for attention announcing that they would be departing. Some of the men looked a little intimidated by her, the ones she had already told of and corrected. If they had at first just thought she was something to look at they did not now. She was strict and stern so long but not unfriendly. It did not take long for her to earn respect from men

Sebastian stepped out of the captains quarters and nodded once to Samuel. Soon the ship was leaving port and heading out with Samuel at the wheel. Sebastian trusted the man with his life, but there were many reasons to it. He glanced out towards the sky, knowing that once night came about the real fun began for him. He smirked slightly before he moved back into the cabin to await that time.

Amelia watched over the crew, standing at the helm with Samuel after each walk around so she could see what was happening on deck. She took the time when she could to reteach the one sailor on his knots after one of the ropes slipped and almost sent cargo overboard. When she went back to the helm she nodded to Samuel "May I ask you a question about the captain?" She asked him, having gotten the feeling Samuel was the best person to ask
