Samuel laughed softly since he was already at the helm and was already starting to do what the captain had ordered, but kept his mouth sealed as he knew she was just worried about the ship.
Sebastian stayed silent, figuring he would talk to her about it later, since it was his ship and he had already given Samuel orders. He moved where he could get a better view of the ship, his eyes darkening. "Do not fight unless you have to. Stay out of the way unless you are trained to fight. Igar take Dotty below and keep him safe." He looked towards him. "Nothing happens to either of you but Dotty survives, got it?"
"Aye, Cap'n. Protect the boy with me life I will." He stated as he moved to collect Dotty and head below to a safety spot where Dotty usually hid when fighting started, a place he could get out of the ship if he needed to but was not likely to be discovered as easily.

When they failed to get the maneuver of in time Amelia cursed under her breath and drew her sword. She looked over at the men "hold fast boys" she said to the men near her "don't hesitate. Let's leave none of these filthy Pirates for the hangman, eh? " She looked back at the ship "let's send them to the locker where they belong"

"No." Sebastian stated. "Keep the children alive. This one likes to keep children as prisoners." He stated, looking towards Amelia. "and they will be disguised as pirates. Do not let your prejudice to pirates lead you to take the life of an innocent." He looked back ahead and narrowed his eyes. "The children are to be brought aboard where we can take them to safety."
Samuel frowned at Amelia's words about pirates being filthy but turned his focus back to keeping the ship safe.
Sebastian saw the ship pulling up alongside theirs without the intent to fire their cannons with put a knot in the pit of his stomach.

"the fact that you think I'd not recognize a child and refrain from harming them shows how little you respect me" Amelia said glaring his way, insulted that he even implied that she was so blinded by hatred.
The men standing between them looked between themselves not exactly sure what was going on between their captain and first mate
Amelia moved past him and took a position near Samuel "do you have a rule against hiding yourself even in battle?" She asked in a hushed tone, wondering if he would refrain from using his inhuman abilities to keep his nature hidden. The fact that she went and talked to Samuel though would show quite clearly though that her anger towards Samuel had dissipated some

"Not if a life is on the line. And miss...no offese, but you be overstepping the cap'n a bit. He dont' mistrust your judgement, but he knows how these folks work. He knows these people specifically and knows their styles. The boys will be dressed and look like men. Most will be young teens." He stated, looking towards her. "And they will not back down for fear of their own lives."

"People don't bring up issues when simply informing people" Amelia said, watching the other ship cautiously "If he simply wanted to inform me of their tactics he would not have told me not to let my prejudice lead me to take an innocent life. That was pointed." she moved to take a closer look "Unless he's a fool" she granted "And doesn't know what his words implied. But imply it his words did. If that was not his intent let him defend himself." she looked at Samuel "He's your friend. I understand your desire to explain him to me so i understand, but let's face it. You being the buffer will solve nothing. " She sighed "This is not the time for us to argue" she said shaking her head, deciding that for now she'd drop it she pulled her gun and took careful aim "Permission to shoot the man about the shoot the cannon?" Amelia said loud enough for Sebastian

"Missy, you do the same ta him. You say ya not trust pirates and that they be filthy. How ya think it makes him feel when ya know he used to run as one and that I did to? Not ta mention the men on the Nightmare be his family." Samuel reminded her before looking towards the fight.
"They aren't after sinking the boat." Sebastain stated. "And the one you want to shoot is standing behind the one near the cannon. The one fixing to shoot the canon is most likely only 17."

"doesn't mean he's not one of them" she muttered under her breath, but she followed ordered and took aim, shooting the man behind. Then she looked at Samuel "I called them Filthy Pirates. Didn't say all were filthy. I acknowledge that not all Pirates are murderers. You don't have to murder someone to kill them though" she shook her head then moved off, knowing she wasn't going to get anywhere arguing semantics, especially since Samuel was by default on Sebastian's side
"How do you suppose we tell the ones being coerced and the teenagers who are just pirates themselves?" She asked looking at Sebastian "I've met fifteen year old pirates that have killed more people than I have"

As soon as the other man fell, the young man behind the cannon stumbled back before taking off to hide, despite knowing he would likely die anyways. Sebastian frowned as the other ship started to pull up along side. "Watch your shots." He ordered. "Leave the ships captain to me. DON'T LET THEN BOARD!!" He gave the order that started the fight as gun shots rang through the air to keep the other ship's men from boarding.

Amelia fired, only hitting the older looking men just to be sure, but keeping an eye on the others, not trusting them still. As the sun was setting she gritted her teeth, knowing that nothing good was going to come of this.
A loud crack sounded as they shot a cannonball at close range, cutting straight through the center mast. The mast creaked and began to fall, threatening to crush quite a few of the men. They cried out loudly as they watched their doom nearing but were shocked when suddenly, shortly above their heads, the mast stopped
Amelia stood over one of the men her arms holding the mast, the weight seeming to be a bit much for her still, but slowly it seemed like she was having an easier time and she even lifted it more. At the same time though her nails grew longer, her hairs over her body grew thicker and darker, her frame got slightly larger. Her one blue eye changed to the same yellow as the others and her ears became pointed. A growl rippled through this wolf/human creature that stood above the man and she lifted it even higher, allowing any of the men in it's path to move aside, her long clawlike nails digging into the wood. she was more human looking than the stories of werewolves said, showing to anyone who knew or had ever seen one that she was not completely Lican

Sebastian was cutting through pirates that he knew were evil, chasing off the ones that were to you g to really make a choice. When he heard the crack, he looked over just in time to see Amelia change. He smirked slightly and nodded once before turning just in time to block a blow from the captain of the other ship. "Bout time you showed up."
"Well well, if it isn't the vampire captain, Sebastian Reign. But...then you go my Sebastian Michales now don't you? Hoping to hide?" The man laughed as the two started fighting.
Samuel did his best to keep the ship safe as he shouted to some of the men to get things cleared that they could. Each was having to do their part to keep the ship safe as others continued to fight.

Once the way was clear she set the mast down and looked at the men who were staring at her. She didn't say a word, she simply turned and swatted a pirate trying to board of the edge and moved into the fight, figuring she'd make sure the memories were safe before she left the ship, now that they all knew her secret

As the fighting came to an end a sickening crunch was heard as Sebastian literally smashed the other captain's head in. His eyes were red and blood leaked from the corner of his lips. Two holes in other captain's neck were also present. Sebastian reached up and wiped away the corner of his mouth. As they dispatched the rest of the survivors that were all young me that were thankful to be free, Sebastian moved to his men, calling everyone out so he could talk, his eyes still rimmed red. "Everyone accounted for?"

Amelia didn't come to his call right away. She finished off her last opponent, killing him with a claw through his heart then looked at the others. She moved to where her coat was, laying where she had been when the mast started coming down as she put it on her form shifted back to normal, though it was a clear struggle between the power in the coat and her other form. This was why she usually wore the coat. It had belonged to her father and had the ability to restrict her Lican blood. But even when starting from human form the full moon caused her to struggle despite the coat. Eventually though she did manage to shift back. She slowly moved over so she could hear Sebastian but kept her distance from everyone, prepared for them to turn their weapons on her at any time

Sebastian everyone that was okay had been accounted for. He took note of who they had lost in the fight and nodded once before looking towards the men. In a serious tone he looked each one in the eyes. "Today you saw something that I am sure is leaving many of you with questions. Some of you know the secret I hold and I know you are not bothered by the sight. The question I have for the rest is will you continue to accept Amelia? If not then you can leave my ship now." He stated, looking at each. "Several of you owe her your lives on numerous accounts. She has done nothing wrong that should gain our distrust."
"But cap'n..." Sebastian turned and narrowed his eyes at the man that was fixing to speak. "Do you think she should be judged because she is different? Did not you come from a background that would have had most cringing?"
The man nodded once and looked down. "So I say again...if you have a problem with who Amelia is, then you can leave my ship."
The deck of the ship was silent. Dotty actually ran over and hugged Amelia with a big smile on his face. He knew what Sebastian and Samuel were, and he thought it was cool that Amelia was different like them. "Thank you for keeping the family safe." He told her.
