Amelia looked at them quietly and cautiously, hesitant to believe they'd actually accept her. When Dotty hugged her she tensed. She relaxed a little realizing it wasn't an assault though not completely since she was neither sure if things yet nor was she used to being hugged at all since it had been almost 40 years since someone had last hugged her "It's my job" she said quietly, gently trying to push Dotty off her without hurting his feelings "we're dead in the water until the mast is repaired" she said still feeling awkward and nervous, and her body still shaking to fight changing forms again

Dotty smiled and shook his head. "No. Your job is to keep yourself alive. You didn't have to save them." he said, looking up at her. "And you are really cool looking. The way you fought was amazing."
"Agreed." Several responses came. Each of the men started opening up more and more, and several came over and thanked her for saving their lives, each very happy to have her there. There were even a few that asked her not to leave.
Sebastian smiled at seeing how accepting the men were of her before he looked towards the crew that usually made repairs. "Start getting things cleared and ready to repair. I need to speak with Amelia." He stated before moving over to her. "I think it's time we talked." He told her. "The men can handle the repairs for now."

Amelia looked overwhelmed by all of this so when Sebastian suggested to move is to talk she looked at him, looking kind of relieved, and nodded "I..."she hesitated looking back at the work that needed to be done "I can help lift the mast when they need it" she said not seeming sure she wanted to change again but knowing with her strength it would make things much easier

Sebastian guided her to his room before looking towards her. "They will be okay for now. We need to talk and clear the air." He said, glancing towards her.

"I'm half" she said, looking at him, figuring since it was out there anyways she might as well start there "half lycan half human" she took a seat crossing her arms mostly just to keep the coat close since she was still shaking as she fought shifting "I couldn't stand by and watch another crew die at the hands of Pirates" she looked out the window at the water "it was my hesitation that allowed the others to die"

Sebastian nodded once in response. "My full name is Sebastian Michaels Reign." He stated, looking towards her, figuring she would know of the former captain of the Nightmare which was him. "Most of the rumors true, including me being a vampire, though the age is exaggerated. I am only 420." He stated, looking towards her. "I have captained the Nightmare since I turned 20 and came to own this ship five years after the Nightmare went into hiding, where the rumors started of her going under." He stated. "I kept her secret, as well as what me and Samuel are for the safety of the crew and ourselves."

"64" Amelia said glancing at him, figuring she might as well share her age as well "So you;re old, even to me" she turned and looked at him "I understand keeping those secrets. I keep my own." she said "That was never our issue, Sebastian" she said using his name for once rather than just calling him Captain. She got to her feet and stumbled a little holding her head, her nails starting to turn to claws again as she was losing the battle "I'm unstable under the full moon." she murmured in explanation. She looked at him "167" she said looking at him, trying to change the subject back to their own issues "I've seen pirates kill 167 people in my time. And that's including people who died as a result of ships being robbed by pirates that were "different", that didn't kill"

Sebastian shook his head slightly. "I never allowed that. We always went after privateers, military, but never ships we knew risked the lives of those who could not afford it. If we ever did have that happen, We always made sure that they were taken care of." Sebastian stated. "I was never in it for the money, the fame, or the glory. I did it for the adventure." He leaned back in his seat and looked towards her. "When I knew that the fame was becoming a problem, I stepped back and let people think the nightmare had disappeared from existence, especially more so after my father was killed by pirates." He rubbed his neck gently before looking towards her. "You distrust pirates, but....if you had the chance to meet the crew of the Nightmare, and know how genuine they are in their beliefs and know them as people, do you think it could change your mind? Many of them are just like you, me, and Samuel."

Amelia looked at him as steadily as she could "I'm not sure" she answered honestly "I haven't really decided how much I trust you yet" she wasn't trying to be mean about it just stating facts "I will attempt to keep as open a mind as possible but there's a lot that needs to be repaired." She sat back down and paused for a moment "so what do you plan to do about the teenagers?"

"I can understand that." He stated. When she mentioned the teens he glanced towards his cabinet where maps were then back at Amelia. "One of the men on the Nightmare has already joined their ship. He will train them properly on how to run and I have employed them under my company so they will have work to do to help provide for their families, which is there original reason to join with the crews previous services. They will have an opportunity to make something of themselves for the next four years then will take control of the ship as their own once a good captain is appointed and they will be a cargo ship."

"And how do you know they won't run to the navy and report seeing a werewolf on this ship?" she asked him looking at him steadily. Him being sure of his own crew was one thing, but these were frightened teenagers that had just been through hell and some of them, although they had been saved by them, would find what she was just as frightening as the pirates were

"They won't remember that part." He assured her. "The one who is with him is skilled in making sure people forget things they shouldn't remember. And no he does not harm them to do so." He stated. "But it would also be best that they not remember the torture they most likely underwent during their time of service to the pirate captain."

Amelia looked at him "What makes you think that?" she asked frowning "The difficult times we go through shape us and make us stronger. Taking away what they went through will undo any strength the experience has given them. The hardships in life mold us into who we become. I wouldn't want to give up my bad memories. I would cease to be me"

"I will agree that they do shape us. They will not forget the hardships per say. Simply who caused them. The captain of that ship....was a Halfling. Mischevious and dark creatures. They pray on a persons memories and use their worst memories to torment them. That is what they need to forget. I have seen the results of someone remembering. Even their good memories because to torment them long after the Halfling was gone."

"Halfling?" she asked. She had been surprised enough to know vampires were real "How many monsters like us are there?" she asked, not having known that anything else even actually existed. "And my monsters i mean non-humans." she corrected. Although she refered to herself as a monster she had loved her father and never saw him as a monster, she was more just referring to what humans saw them as, not how she truly viewed what she was
