"My mother was human" Amelia said softly "My father didn;t seem to mind though. It was because he married a human that his family disowned him though...they're the ones that killed him. He thought they'd help, because of us kids, but when he returned after being exiled they killed him for it" she sighed "So much prejudice. I think it's sad, falling for someone who will live a shorter time, but at the same time wouldn't you rather have a human's life time with someone you love than be alone for an eternity?"

Samuel tilted his head slightly. "Honestly never thought of it that way, missy." He glanced towards her at that point. "I guess if I loved the lass enough. But to find one that would no' run at the very mention of what I be would be hard ta come by."

"Nah, missy. He always has left it to me if'n I wanna tell someone so long as it no' hurt the crew or put no one in danger. You be the last person I feel would run around tellin' anyone. That and I canno' say much bout him and his personal life."

She nodded simply at this and excused herself moving off to get stuff done then approached Sebastian "Tense, sir?" she asked, looking at him, finally figuring she should address the fact that he looked like something was concerning him

She nodded looking out at the water "keep a strong guard and then men on alert?"she suggested, not liking the idea of it

"Aye." Was the only response Sebastian gave as he looked out over the water. He frowned as he watched another ship pass, every new ship having him on edge at the moment.

Amelia set to work, even going as far as having two men stationed in the crows nest so that both directions could be scanned at once

The next couple of weeks were relatively quiet, though Sebastian remained on edge. He could feel something stirring that he didn't like. He kept a vigilant eye out, forgoing down time like he usually would to make sure that there was always someone keeping an eye out. He usually kept someone in the crows next at all times, leaving it to Amelia to make sure who manned it.
Samuel grew a bit more on edge as well as the two weeks passed, often found talking quietly with the Captain at various points. The day that Argil's boy decided to show his ship Sebastian was ready for a fight. The whistle that alerted everyone to his arrival had everyone moving at a quick pace to make sure things were ready.

Amelia stayed dressed and ready for a fight the whole time, carrying her sword and gun as usual but also adding to what she wore three silver daggers in a leather sheath on her thigh and kept leather gloves on
The day the whistle sounded she cursed as the afternoon was fading to evening and this was her night to remain in her room. She hollered at the men to make sure they were in their placing, moving over to Sebastian praying they could conclude this before the Sun set

Sebastian cursed as well when he word of the ship reached him. He ordered Samuel to cover the wheel of the ship while he easily climbed up to the crows next. He observed the ship, narrowing his eyes. "We got a fight coming." He growled darkly. He grabbed a rope and easily slid his way back down, landing on the deck of the ship. "PREPARE FOR A FIGHT!" He ordered out, the ship immediately getting ready.

"we should do a sharp turnabout, get our cannons on them before they can get theirs on us. A well placed chainshot and we can cripple they're ship before they're close enough to board" Amelia said looking at Sebastian, knowing it was a long shot but it would be the quickest way to end this without anyone dying

"If it's the ship I think it is....we are still going to have a fight on our hands." He stated, narrowing his eyes. "You heard her Samuel." He ordered, knowing that it was, indeed, a long shot. AS the other ship saw what they were doing, they started to take precautions as well, preparing for a fight themselves.

"Samuel, you take the helm, I assume you know how to do this" she ran to get the same ready, knowing that to make a sharp enough turn fast enough they'd need to make some changes. Unfortunately though they were not fast enough for the other ship was approaching fast faster than anticipated
