Sebastian smiled slightly. "AFter taking care of business while I was in town I decided to stop by. Not really sure why honestly." the man stated. He glanced towards Elliot. "She handled herself quite well. Honestly I doubted she really needed my help but I confess it was rather comical to see the reaction on the mans face."

Elliot still looked concerned
"Relax, my friend. He stepped in but even if he hadn't i would have been fine. I knew you would never let me go alone if i was unarmed so i was carrying my pistol. I just wanted to see if he would actually try anything before attacking him"
This seemed to please Elliot less that his boss allowed herself to be manhandled just to see what would happen

Sebastian glanced towards Rose with a raised brow as he ate on his dinner. He then looked towards Elliot and asked, "What makes you dislike pirates? I noticed you seemed a bit upset ny hearing about my family."

"Most pirates kill callously and would help you one moment then stab you in the back for profit"He said simply "Somehow i doubt even pirates trust other pirates, knowing how cutthroat they can be. you never know who you can truely trust"

"Very true." Sebastian stated. "Better cautious then dead." He glanced towards Rose with a smile. "So how much longer do you plan to stay?" He asked, wondering how long he would get to know her before she left.

"In the area?" She asked looking over at him "Elliot and i are leaving tomorrow to handle some business on our way back to out main estate" she said with a small smile "Most use their town estate as their main dwelling but i prefer to be away from the city bustle for my everyday" she said with a smile, obviously not mentioning that her other 'estate' was a ship

"It is understandable. In that case.." he pushed his chair back and stood. "If you are finished would you like to see the books and maps i was telling you about earlier?"

"Of course" she said getting up from her chair to follow. Elliot wasn't don't yet but he moved to stand, stopping when Royce put his hand on his arm. Elliot then sat back down, though he didn;t look happy about it.
Rose moved over to where Sebastian stood and smiled "Lead the way, Mr Lycoris"

Sebastian led her to his library. As he pushed open the door they were greeted with rows upon rows of books. Sebastian had spent several years collecting the extensive collection of books and maps.
He carefully led her towards the back where his favorites were and moved aside so that she could look at her pleasure. "A hobby of mine." he said, referring to the large collection of books. "And a hobby of my father's and grandfather's before they passed."

Rose picked a book from the shelf and looked at it
"I never liked reading" she said softly. "My parents had all these books on ediquette and literature. Dainty little romances with handsome men saving the girl. Just all seemed pointless and silly. Boring even" she flipped through the book "But these seem are actually interesting" Rose smiled at him "If i had the time, i would love to read some of these"

"Take a few for your trip home." Sebastian said without a second thought. "I have copies of a few." He ran his fingers along the spines of some of the books. "Roman novels...never understood the point of them." He laughed softly before looking towards her.
After a moment he moved over and pulled out a few of the maps he had collected and set them out on a table. He rolled them open, being careful with a few that were quite old.

"I'm just a firm believer in women not needing men to protect them all the time" she said, walking over to look at the charts "Might sound weird, what with my bodyguard out there, but i don't want to rely on a man to save and protect me. I'd much rather save myself. Women are supposed to be 'dainty flowers'. But even flowers have ways to defend themselves. This Rose, has thorns."

"Strong and independent." He muttered with a smile. "Best kind of woman. Keeps things intersting." Sebastian smirked as he glanced towards her. "So what do you think of the collection?" He asked, referring to the maps and books.

"It's amazing." Rose said,looking over the charts "I haven;t seen charts this old before. Their's really detailed" she ran her finger gently over parts of the chart, being careful of it's age. She obvious knew how to read charts properly and was surprised by some of the things it showed, memorizing places she had never heard of to check out once she was on her ship again
"My...friend" she said, trying to figure out what to call the old captain "Captained a ship for years, right up until he died and He didn't have anything nearly this old. Still some interesting charts but nothing like this"

"They are beautiful. I agree." He stated, running a finger along one of the maps. One would almost suspect he had found them himself even though he had stated otherwise. "This one here is before many of the towns were built. Back when it was mostly farms." He said pointing out the one she was looking at.
