"They've had me for twenty birthdays, they can do without me for one" she said, giving his hand a slight squeeze before moving to check the food "Besides, they'd understand" she moved back to his side "You know if you don't agree to it i'll just end up forcing you so you might as well give in" she said cheerfully

Dyten sighed slightly and ran a hand back through his hair. "Fine." He said, stairing out the entrance of the cave. He was not going to openly admit he was happy about it. He knew it hurt the rest of the family that he still felt uncomfortable around them at times, but he wasn't sure how to tell them he cared and was thankful for what they had done for him.

Adara planted a kiss in his cheek "I can hear what you're thinking" she teased in a sing song tone. Her stomach let out a gurgle and she laughed "And how you can hear what i'm thinking" she said before moving to take the meat off the fire

Dyten shook his head but said nothing more on the situation. AFter a few minutes he moved over and took one of the rabbits and sat back, eating in silence. He was still unsure about what was making him feel so off at the moment.

"Dy" Adara said after a bit "do you wish you had never been left at the castle?" She asked. She knew that he definitely would have preferred being raised by his own parents but she was sad to think that it would have meant they never became as close as they were

Dyten looked towards her, a bit surprised by her question. "No I don't regret it." He said, frowning slightly. "What makes you think I do?" He asked, looking towards her now with confusion. True he wanted his own parents back, but then all he really knew of them was what Matthew had told him growing up. He had not been old enough to really know either of them.

Adara shrugged "I just know that you don't feel like it's your home sometimes. You feel like an outsider and even thought I kind of understand it makes me a little sad" she said quietly "I want you to have a place where you're happy and feel at home and at ease"

Dyten shook his head slightly. "I am sorry." He said after a moment. "I don't mean to be." He glanced towards her, then outside. "You should get some sleep. It's late."

"You don't have to be sorry" she said moving closer to him as she ate "the whole point is I want you to be happy. Just let me know how I can help things so that you are" she grinned "and it's your turn to sleep. I'll stay up"

"Not tired." Dyten said, glancing towards her. He reached up and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. "And even if I was, I doubt I would be able to sleep right now." He smirked.

"Then I'll stay up with you" she said with a smile "we can just talk and stuff. We used to always spend time together like this but ever since we connected with Elendron again there hasn't been the time"

"But so are you" she pointed out "and we're about even now, so I think you could win if those advantages weren't there for me." She grinned "because I doubt you'll ever actually go all out on me because you fear you might actually be able to hurt me if you did"
