Samuel glanced towards her and smirked. "Just a heads up missy. Cap'n is on edge. Must o' heard somethin' in town that he don' like." He responded. He knew that when Sebastian was on edge the rest of the crew would be a bit on edge as well, and he would be a bit more on point with things then he usually was, simply wanting to make sure everyone stayed safe if something were to happen.

"noticed. Thought at first he was just Moody because of stuff between us but then I saw how he was taking to them men" she looked at "must spell trouble. Here I was hoping the second half of the trip would be peaceful"

Samuel nodded once. "I have a feelin' it be one o' the pirates we have had trouble with before." He stated with a slight shake of his head. "One o' the new pirate kings boys that is more like a willing slave. Bends over backward for da fool."

Amelia tensed noticeably at the mention of the pirate King, having a deep hated for that man in particular after he slaughtered everyone on her last ship "pirate King"she murmured "wouldn't that make him your King?" She asked bitterly, her anger about them being Pirates seeming to be renewed at the mention of the man

"Nay. That be why he hates us. We refuse to run under his rule, as does the rest on the Nightmare. They hate him to no end as do I. He has a deep hatred of Cap'n to, partly cause the cap'n tried to slit his throat at one point when he came after me." Samuel stated as he hoisted a few bags up onto his shoulder to put in a different part of the ship since they were bags of grain for the ships cook and he had asked them to be moved closer for easier collection. "Cap'n refuses to follow any pirate king 'cept one and that was his father and the man be long dead now."

Amelia gave him an odd look "I was under the impression that the pirate King tradition stopped over a century ago until this guy decided he wanted to be the boss" she said trying to gauge his reaction. It was true that was as far as she knew but she may just not have known, though with Samuel being what he And get guessing Sebastian wasn't human either she figured that maybe he was older than she thought

Samuel glanced towards Amelia. "Technically there was one other pirate king but he didn't really call himself that. He was sort of just a pirate others looked up to. Tried to keep things calm and keep things runnin' as smooth as possible." He stated. "But the last true one was about two centuries ago, aye." He stated, glancing towards her. "Like I told ya the other day missy, you want to know the truth bout cap'n ask him."

"He made his stance on that perfectly clear" Amelia said looking at Samuel "Seems to me, though you both kept the secrets from me, you're more open about it all. Everything you say i believe you mean honestly. With him I'm not sure." She shook her head "Truth be told, i don't trust many people. Ever. And i decided to trust him, and then i found out that i was wrong too." she picked up a heavy bag not really seeming to notice the weight and carried it along side him "i hear the men are gossiping about me leaving the ship once the run is done"

Samuel shrugged. "That is your call on who ya trust, missy." Samuel stated. "But he's not a bad guy. Just used to havin to deal with things differently. He's got more then just his own safety on the line. He's got two whole crews he has ta worry 'bout." He glanced towards her. "That can put a lot of pressure on a man to keep things under wraps for protection. I don' have that pressure." He stated. "And I knew it was gonna come out eventually."

"Didn't say he was a bad guy. And there are certain things i still trust him in. But it's still that i won't always know if i believe him." she looked at Samuel "I understand feeling responsible for the lives of the crew. Why else would i have jumped into those storming water?" she asked with a slight smile. Every crew she had lost weighed on her like a personal failure, even though it had been beyond her control

"Jus' give him a chance. You finally learn you will understand." Samuel stated as he dropped the bags into the area where the food was stored before stretching slightly. "And just so ya know, no callin me old man. I ain' that old." He laughed.

"Old man" she smirked "64" she said honestly, looking at him "So i guess you;re twice my age then" she shook her head "Heartbreaking, isn't it? knowing almost anyone you get close to will die before you, and if you don't want them to know then you'd have to leave before they notice you don't age as fast"

"No offense to humans but, it does get depressing around those who live so short a life and throw it away. Rather do something' with me life, then sit around which some seem to like to do, such as those of noblility."
