"have you heard of any other girls with a yellow eye?" Amelia asked, looking at Samuel steadily
"Damn sir"one of the other men said "you went through all that when you were just a kid"
Amelia shrugged "all crimes have consequences. My family was one of them" She touched the coat she always wore "this was my daddy's. It's the only thing I have from those days. I guess maybe I've just been cursed from the start"

"Nay, only cursed if you view it that way miss. I'd say ya was blessed to find someone to take ya in and care for ya after that happened. Best bet to always look towards the positive if ya can. Otherwise it drags ya down." Samuel stated. "Next rounds on me boys." Samuel motioned to the bar keep to bring another round for everyone. "And James...no tryin to beat me in a drinkin contest again." Samuel stated.
"Nay gonna happen, Sam. Last time I was unda the table at seven and you done finished your tenth by that point." the man said with a laugh.

"way I see it, Pirates are the problem. They've been haunting me all my life" Amelia said simply. She listened to them banter then looked at Samuel "I'll drink you" she said, she was planning to drink herself silly anyways she might as well so it while embarrassing Samuel she figured.
The men looked between each other surprised since I woman rarely participated in such contests
"loser pays the tab?" She suggested, this challenge being the friendliest she had been with him since the nightmare

"Alright missy." Samuel agreed. She would find that he handled his liquor quite well, partly because he wasn't affected by it as quickly as most humans, partly because of being a sort of half breed. He moved to take a seat with the group and the drinks started coming.

Amelia handled her liquor well, her lichen blood dulling the effects of the alcohol and she easily made too ten drinks. The men were so absorbed watching that most forgot to drink their own drinks as the two went at it

Samuel downed ten relatively easily, his body also not feeling the affects to quickly. As the continue to drink, however, the price kept going up. "Aye, lass...We keep at dis and the wages be gone." He said, his speech a bit slurred, though his eyes were bright and he was still able to function. He was also suspicious because no one had ever drank as much as him since he joined the ship and to see how much she was able to handle made him know she wasn't just human, if she was human at all.

Amelia set down her mug as she downed another and looked at him nodding "Prolly right" she muttered, for the first time she wasn;t speaking in proper clear english "Call it a tie then?" she asked looking at all the mugs on the table in from of them, realizing that her suspicions were correct. She didn;t know what he was, but he wasn;t completely human

"Aye." Was all Samuel said as he pushed himself up and stumbled slightly. "Dang...first time in a while." He slurred out with a slight shake of his head.
"You are wasted Sam." One of the guys said which landed him on his butt on the floor as Samule flipped the guy's chair and a grin on his face. "Not wasted enough." Samuel smirked.

Amelia got up and stumbled a little then laughed "been a loooong time since i've done that" she hiccuped a little which made her laugh a bit more then she moved off to settle her tab. As she was paying a large ugly man approached her and said something to her. He was rough looking and had a bad reputation. Amelia smiled and nodded moving outside with him.
The man pushed her up against the wall in the alley and licked his lips "Oh the things I'm going to do to you" he said in a gruff voice, moving to open the front of her shirt
"Do your worst" Amelia smirked drunkenly

Sebastian had come in a few minutes prior and was up at the bar when the scene started. "I suggest you back away from her." Sebastian stated from the opposite end of the bar from the two. "I will break your hands if you continue to touch her." He stated, knowing he could be there and have the man on the floor in a very short period of time.

Sebastian was suddenly standing next to him. "Amelia go back to the ship." He ordered as he looked at the man. "Lay a hand on her again and I will break your hands." He stated again, his eyes narrowed, flecks of red starting to almost blaze in his eyes. "Back off." He warned him. "This is your last chance." He said.
Samuel was laughing with the rest of the crew but when he heard a gasp from a few of the patrons at how quickly Sebastian moved, Samuel was up and moving over, only to pause when Sebastian held his hand up. Honestly, Sebastian was hoping the man would make a move because he was itching to snap a bone or two.

Amelia moved over and pushed Sebastian back "I'm on shore leave you prick, i can so whaeever i wan" she said angrily "and i can grapple with whoever i want" she stumbled a little
The man, on the other hand, was already backing up because of the speed and the red fleck "Peh" he spat "Freak's not worth it anyways." he muttered, turning to leave

Sebastian narrowed his eyes at the man as he walked. "Samuel." He said, looking over towards the man.
Samuel nodded once, his body forcing him to sober up as he followed after the man to make sure he left.
Sebastian looked back towards Amelia. "You are a fool." He said before he turned to walk out. "Make sure she stays safe or I will have all of your heads." He said looking towards his crew before he followed out after Samuel to make sure the man didn't try coming back, knowing the men would keep her safe or alert him if anything went wrong.

Amelia didn't stay out much longer after that
The next morning Amelia knocked on the door of Sebastian's office and waited to be let in. Most people after all that drinking would be hungover but she was in very condition than those who spent far less than her
