Hedone smiled happily at this. She turned to a soccer player walking by "Want to be my date for the Martial arts ball" she asked. She wasn't even trying to be flirty really
The guy grinned "Sure"
Lilah shrugged "One of the girls got knocked up so she gave me her resignation. Apparently jumps and flips aren't good for the baby."

"They aren't typically." Zack stated. "Though probably worse on her with the nausea." he stated with a slight shake of his head. He stayed silent then until one of the team members glanced towards Zack. "Hey, who are you choosing for the next competition?"
"Haven't decided yet." Zack told him. "James most likely. I can't make it this time because it falls on the same weekend as the fashion show and I have to be there for that show." he stated. "I'll hold a competition next week to decide the other two spots." He told them. "So figure out who all you want to have go and get me the list."

"Hey Lilah, remember when at Vanta Heights when we the martial arts club were trying to impress the cheerleading team?"
Lilah smirked "You mean when Bobby Johnson accidentally spin kicked Principal Kemp in the head? and then they all scattered like idiots, as if running away saved their hides?"
He nodded "They were all suspended"
"And had to miss homecoming. I remember" she smiled then looked over at Zack "What's this competition, just a match or something?" she asked "With another school or just within the school?"

"With another school." Zack told her. "Next town over." he told her. "I believe it's Lumia High. Not positive though." He stated before glancing towards Chance and Ava. He excused himself before walking over to Ava so he could speak privately. "Did you hear anymore about Amber?" He asked, Amber being the girl that chance had stood up for the other day.

"As far as I know she's ok" Ava said "Why?" she glanced back at Zack's table "Who's the new guys. I seems....familiar. "

"Not sure. Don't really like him though." Zack stated. "I just wanted to make sure she was okay, after I heard what happened." He told her. "Her older brother is a friend of mine." He stated, though that was not why he asked. He thanked her before he moved back over to sit down next to Lilah.
As he spoke, the girl in question came in shyly and moved instantly to the back corner of the room. She was still bruised but hid it with long sleeves and pants. Zack glanced towards her and she met his eyes momentarily before she looked away once more.

Ava nodded when he left she looked at Chance "I think Zack feels threatened by the new kid" she said, looking a little surprised by this
Lilah smiled and took Zack;s hand when he sat back down
"Why don't we invite her to join us?" Calix suggested, seeing Zack look towards Amber
"Let's not" Lilah said instantly. She didn;t look up at him, not giving him a chance to make her feel guilty about saying it

"She wouldn't." Zack stated. He glanced towards Calix. "Just leave her alone. Her brother's super protective over her." He glanced towards Lilah, not offended by her statement and had no idea of making her feel guilty. He left it at that though, not giving Calix anything else.
"Look at the way Lilah is around him." Chance stated. "There is something off about him though." he stated glancing towards Ava. "Might not be a bad thing for Zack to be on his toes though."

"Maybe he's the first that Lilah wouldn't talk about" Ava said, glancing at Chance
Calix said nothing more, confused by Lilah's attitude. I made no sense to him that she would have issue with the girl because she was pregnant, because Lilah's own sister was too and Lilah still was nice to her

Zack glanced over towards the clock and glanced towards Lilah. "Ready to head to class?" He asked, deciding to skip out of lunch a bit early, and wondered if she would like an escape from things.
"Possibly." Chance said as he wrapped an arm around Ava as he spoke.

Lilah glanced over at the clock "It's a little early, isn;t it?" she asked, though she got her stuff ready to go with him

Zack nodded once. Once they were out of the cafeteria he glanced towards her. "You seemed a little uncomfortable and I figured we could enjoy some time together before class starts." He stated, wrapping an arm around her and kissed her cheek.

"You seemed more uncomfortable than I did" she pointed out "I was fine, just waiting for the topic to change. All this pregnancy stuff is ridiculous" Though she never seemed bothered by Ava's pregnancy the topic seemed to bother her a little

"I'm sorry." Zack stated, and that was the last he said of the subject. "How about we head to the martial arts building. I can show you around where the dance will be held." He told her. "that way you can get an idea started of what you want to do."

"That's sounds good. I need to get a layout idea anyways" shhe said, putting her arm around his "Let's go" she knew watching her actually getting along with Calix was bothering him but she didn;t want to bring it up
