Vane sighed and shook his head. "Then dump him." He stated. "Don't give him a chance to explain." He stated, pushing himself up. "From the way I am hearing it, you aren't willing to listen to him." Vane was simply stating the facts of what he heard. "Sounds to me is just as big a screw up as the rest of his family, at least from the way you are talking about it." Zack, by that time, had given up on concentrating in school. He ended up going home and chose to collect Astral on his way there. He knew his father would be angry for the girl being there, but at this time he didn't care.  Astral sat on the floor in the center of the living room, laughing as she listened to a movie that Zack had put on for her. Zack watched her laugh and giggle at the show he had put on for her. He glanced down at his cell phone and tried to call Lilah, hoping she would pick up. He needed to talk to her. |

Lilah glanced at her phone and tossed it aside, not bothering to answer it but letting it ring through before sitting beside Vane again and turning, leaning back against him
"If it were that simple i would not have come here" she said sighing "I care about him, i do, but right now i hate him." she gave an exasperated sigh and hid her face in her hands "I don't know what to do....but i can;t talk to him now. It'll just make it worse for me to talk to him while this angry"

"Calm down for a bit. Stay here tonight if you want. Then tomorrow go home and at least let him explain the situation. That way you have the whole story and not just bits and pieces. Who knows...you might end up liking his little girl and the reasoning behind Zues's meddling might be legitimate concern for her." Vane stated, glancing towards her. "Point is...just chill. Drop it for now, you two can talk about it once the both of you are a little more clear headed about the whole situation."
Zack closed the phone and sighed before looking at Astral. "you want to stay here with me tonight?"
Astral looked towards Zack and nodded with a big smile. "Will I get to meet your new girlfriend?" She asked him.
"I don't know." zack told the girl honestly as he sat back and closed his eyes, letting his daughter finish watching the movie in silence.

"Sorry to interrupt" Azalea said softly, stepping into the room with Zack "Hello Astral" she said smiling at the girl, before glancing at Zack "I think now i understand why Lilah showed up at Vane's" she said softly, sitting down by him
Lilah shook her head "I'm not going to stay here" she said softly "I'm going to check in to a hotel...for the weekend" she said softly "Or maybe I'll go stay with Chance and Ava. I haven't decided yet"

Astral glanced over towards Azalea. "Hi, Azalea." she said giggling as she jumped up and ran over to her. "Daddy is letting me stay here tonight." she smiled.
Zack opened his eyes and looked towards Azalea. "That and because the fact that my father will not let Astral live here and she thinks that I am a fool because i listen to him. Even though it is for Astral's safety." He glanced towards the girl who tilted her head slightly. "Because of you and Uncle Mars?" She said softly.
"Him and one other." Zack told her softly. "We'll change it soon." He promised her.
"For that long?" Vane glanced towards her. "You sure that is the best thing?"

"That's great sweetheart" Azalea said with a smile "If Lilah feels like she was abandoned as a child then she might view this as the same thing" she said, taking the girl into her lap "Lilah doesn't talk to me at all, but from her I get the feeling that she holds some contempt towards her parents"
Lilah shook her head "I don't know" she said "All I do know is that I'm pretty pig headed and if I don't calm down before i see him again, I will end up hurting him"

"I know." Zack stated. "But she wouldn't even give me a chance to explain why things are the way they are." He stated with a sigh. "And now she won't even talk to me at all." He stated.
"Lilah." Vane looked towards her. "If you really care about him, you will give him a chance to explain. And the sooner the better, for both of you."

"That doesn't sound like the strong confident Zack I know from school. Who would have thought the captain of the martial arts club would give up so easily" Azalea said softly
"I do care about him. That's why i can;t talk to him right now. I feel to much hate right now" she said, still leaning against him. She glanced at the bowls on the table "Sorry to ruin your date" she said, trying to change the topic

"I haven't given up." Zack told Azalea. "I just know when I need to step back and find a different approach. Perhaps after she sings with you I can introduce her to Astral. Talk to her then."
Astral looked at Azalea. "You are going to sing? Can I come and listen?"
Zack smiled slightly. "Only if you can talk Shella into it." He said, stating the name of the woman who took care of Astral on a daily basis.
"Shella's mean. She won't let me go unless you tell her to." Astral pouted.

"you're going to wait until monday?" Azalea asked. Then she smiled at the girl "Of course you can come listen, sweetie. Your daddy's girlfriend is going to sing with me" she glanced at Zack "Apparently. She hadn;t told me that yet actually" she said with a smile

"I believe she caught Rebecca practicing for the show. I am not positive though." zack told Azalea. He looked towards Astral. "I'll talk to Shella." He told her. "And Yes I am going to wait until Monday. I don't want to push her. I already angered her and she probably hates me as is. Last thing I need to do is anger her any more."

Azalea paused "Astral, honey, i heard you won a prize at school. can you show me?" she asked. Once the girl left to get it she looked at Zack "Are you ok?" she asked him "this must be pretty hard on you."
Lilah looked at her watch and let out a sigh "I have to go" she said, sitting up "I've got plans, plus I need to go to the mall and get myself some clothes for the weekend"

"Just wishing I would have told her sooner." Zack stated. "That and I found out from my father recently that he may not allow me to raise Astral at all. And the last thing I want to do is become an outlaw among my family. That would be the worst thing for her." He stated with a sigh. "He says there is a requirement I have to meet but will not tell me what it is. Though I have a feeling I know." He glanced towards Azalea. "He wants me to marry." He frowned.
"Alright." Vane said looking towards her. "Remember Lilah...the sooner the better." He laid a hand on her shoulder before heading to the door with her to let her out.

Azalea looked shocked by this "Lilah won't be signing up for that any time soon" she said softly "She'd probably slap you if you even suggested it" she put her hand in his "But she does care for you. I can feel that much from her.so at least you know that. If not she would have dumped you very publicly when she found out what you had been hiding, and made sure the entire school knew you had a child." she stood up "Psalm told me she's asking for Astral to come live with us" she said, smiling a little
Lilah glanced back and nodded "Thanks" she have him a weak smile before turning and leaving

Zack nodded once as he looked toward Astral as she came running back. "Is miss Psalm comming?" She asked Azalea. "I like hearing her sing. And Daddy has been teaching me greek." She said, saying a few words of Greek that she had learned.
Zack smiled as he stood up and glanced towards Azalea. "Yeah. I asked if she had seen her and she offered to take her so that at least she is with family."
