"It's alright" she said with a smiled, moving into the kitchen "I prefer to be here, taking care of you" Azalea said, pulling out a pot. She set her bag she had brought down, having had a feeling he might be sick she had brought all the ingredients she needed to make her particular soup she wanted to make him

"A child?" Lilah asked, raising an eyebrow at him "Why are you going to visit a child?"

Zack got ready for the anger that was sure to come when he spoke next. "Because she's my little girl from a previous relationship. Her mother died about two day's after the child was born." He stated.

Lilah stopped dead in her tracks as soon as the words left his mouth "What?" she asked, the tone of her voice making it obvious that she was keeping herself from yelling that at him

Azalea finished the soup and brought two bowls over to the coffee table. She sat down next to him and put her hands over the soups looking up "Apollo and Artemis bless this" she said, before handing him to bowl with a smile "They have done me favours in the past" she said, referring two the twin gods that were known as dieties for medicine and good health

Zack flinched, hearing the malice behind the words. "It was before we met. I had just moved into the area." He told her softly. "We had known each other for a few years. We were considering marriage when she got pregnant. She passed away after giving birth to Astral." He said softly. "Lilah...it doesn't change how I feel about you." He said. "Look...I know I should have told you, but...as I told you before, I have never been one to talk about myself. She doesn't even live with me, she can't until my father allows it. That is what I have been visiting with him for is to get him to let me raise her. it's not likely to happen though."

Vane nodded as he took the soup from her with thanks. He ate silently, sitting back for a moment and closing his eyes.

Lilah's hands were shaking a little, she didn;t know how to process all this. She was mad and hurt by the fact that he didn;t tell her this sooner, and she was also angry at the thought of a father letting someone else dictate the time they spend with their child. She wanted to explode at him and yell, but instead she turned around and walked away from him, walking towards the door to the parking lot.

Azalea smiled "How is it?" she asked, taking the bowl from him once it was empty

Zack followed after Lilah. He grabbed her arm and turned her to him. "Look...you are going to be angry at me and you have every right to be. I have been fighting to get custody of Astral but not being allowed to. He won't give me the reason why." He stated. "I would like to let you meet her." He let go of her hand. "I should have told you earlier, but it't not easy for me to talk about myself. I already told you that." He sighed and shook his head. "Look I don't know what to tell you to get you to understand that I wasn't trying to hurt you. I'm just telling you the truth. You wanted to know about me, now you do. But there is one thing I can tell you. She's the only child I have and I did care about her mother at one point. I still care about her, but I love you." He stood there, not moving as he waited for her to hopefully say something.

She pulled herself away from him and then turned, walking away to her car
"Hurt and confused" Psalm said softly, coming up beside Zack, watching Lilah walk away

"I know." Zack said. "I'll talk to her once she calms down." he glanced towards Psalm. "Have you seen Astral lately? She was asking about you last week." He told Psalm before her turned to head towards class.

Psalm nodded "If you like, i can petition Zeus to let her come stay with me. He will listen"

There was a knock on the door to Vane's condo and Azalea looked over "I'll get it" she said to Vane, getting up. She opened the door.
Lilah stood on the other side of the door. She looked overwhelmed and stressed and almost like she was about to cry. When she saw Azalea she stiffened, right away reigning in those emotions
"Oh...you're here" she said stiffly, before turning to leave
"If you need to talk to Vane I can step out" Azalea said softly

Vane looked towards Lilah. "What is wrong?" he asked, pushing himself up from the couch. "What happened?"

Zack glanced back towards Psalm. "I would appreciate that. She needs some place aside from where she is stuck at." He stated. "Thank you Psalm." He told her before he reached his class and went inside. He ignored the normal bantering, his mind focused on Lilah at that moment. He was trying to figure out how to get her to calm down and see that he wasn't trying to hurt her.

Azalea stepped passed Lilah and got on the elevator down
With her done Lilah stepped into the condo "Sit down. You look terrible, you don't have to stand up for me" she said, crossing her arms, seeming a tiny bit guarded now that she had seen Azalea but she still seemed bothered "I just found out" she said tensely, pacing now "that Zack has a kid"

Psalm nodded and went off to her own class without another word

Vane moved back to sit down as he listened to what Lilah said. "Okay?" He said, looking towards her. "Most of the gods have multiple kids." He stated. "He seems to at least be genuine. so if he has a kid, chances are he acctually cared about her mother." He stated, tilting his head slightly. "What is bothering you about it?"

Lilah tensed at this "Just because most of the gods have multiple kids doesn;t mean i have to like it" she said, gritting her teeth "And he didn;t have to hide it from me. He's know almost everything there is to know about me and he kept something like this from me. Plus that's exactly what i hate about the gods. How they treat their kids. If they don't want to care for their children then stop having them! They think they can do all they want and don;t give a damn about the children and how things affect them. Zack's actually letting Zeus tell him whether or not he car take care of the girl and it pisses me off. I hate parents like him!" she sat on the opposite end of the couch from Vane and crossed her arms "I'm seriously considering getting my tubes tied"

"Lilah, calm down." Vane stated. "The fact that he even told you should show you that he cares. As for Zues, he always tries to control everything. Is Zack at least a part of her life? Try talking to him about it. Maybe there is a reason Zeus doesn't want Zack to care for the girl. Maybe he is trying to make sure Zack will really care for her like she needs to be and that he isn't just like one of the others." He stated. "I understand you are angry. But it doesn't do any good to judge if you don't know everything. Kind of like me judging you at the beginning when I didn't know all the circumstances behind things." He told her, referring to how he used to get upset with her, and didn't even try to know her so he knew the reasons behind why she acted the way she did. "There is always a reason behind things happening." He stated.

"I don't care. He should have told me from the start." She stood up again "So that I could choose whether i want to be put in the situation" she crossed her arms pacing again "He knew about my last 'serious' relationship. He knows almost everything about me, it was stupid and selfish or him not to tell me just because he 'doesn't like talking about himself' " she said "And I'm truly serious about getting my tubes tied. Because i don't believe there should be any reason for a parent not to care for their child. If someone were to tell me I can't take care of my own child I would tell them to screw off. I hate Zack for letting Zeus control him like that. I'm more pissed about that part then i am about his deception. And I'm pretty pissed about the deception"
