"Nah" she said leaning back in the chair "That's just how people are. Sometimes you're just too close to the matter. It's my job not to let things too close so that i always have an objective and rational view point on things" she said, not actually too stressed out by it

Vane nodded once. "Understandable." He stated with a slight smile. He glanced towards her. "May I ask if there was a reason you left so quickly? You had all of us confused by your sudden choice to leave."

Adara simply shrugged and didn't answer "oh hey" she said, grabbing a paper from a file she had beside her "if you're not to busy..." she held it out to him "small human village on the Akritian border. Complaining about a monterous creature that stalks them during the night " she explained "i'd check it out myself but in about 45 seconds another issue will be coming through those doors"

"I can handle it." Vane told her. "But when I get back we are going to talk." He looked towards her. "You don't have to hide what is bothering you, if there is something wrong." Vane said with a slight bow of his head. "I will be back soon."

"Hey" she got up from her chair and gave him a hug "Don't worry, I mean it. I'm totally fine. Just a moment of selfishness" she pulled back and smiled "When you find out what the monster is let me know" she said cheerfully

Vane hugged her back. "I will." he assured her. He leaned in and pressed his lips against hers momentariky before pulling back and heading to deal with the creature.
