Personality: Kik's personality changes according to the situation, normally shy she tends to act tough when she;s faced with an uncomfortable situation. Only once she;s truly comfortable around you will she show you her shy, and even sweet, side. Otherwise she will dawn a confident, fearless persona

History: Born to an Elvin father and Human mother, who had eloped, Kik was an outsider in both worlds as soon as she was born. Her parents were killed by her uncle, her father's brother, after they were discovered, Kik was only 3. Her uncle, being a lord among the elvin people, took her as a servant and slave. Beaten and abused Kik was treated lower like dirt in her aunt and uncle's home, being given all the unpleasent chores that the paid servants disliked doing. Beating her was almost a pass time to her aunt, who would call her in with a task that one person could never do alone and then beat her if she made even a slight error. Kik escaped her aunt and uncle's clutches when she was 12, fleeing the elven lands for the human one. Humans, being more accepting or halflings then elves, paid her little regard, which Kik found preferable to the resentment and hatred of the elves. She set out, in hopes of finding someone from her human family. She did eventually find her family and they accepted her with open arms. Kik went to live with her cousin and his family, living among them and their three young children, as a sibling and daughter rather then servant. Kik was happy for the first time in her life. but it didn;t last long. Her elven uncle, bitter and full of hatred, used his power and influence and sent a small army out, looking for his lost property, as he had come to view her. Upon finding her with her human family he gave the order and his men killed her cousin and his wife as they attempted to protect her. Then, while forcing Kik to watch, he let his men torture and rape her cousin's children, who were 5, 7 and 12. Kik Was 13 at this time. As they dragged Kik from the house, she was like a statue, frozen in horror as they walked away. When they lay camp for the night she finally snapped out of it. She was a smart kid and she worked her way out of her bonds and grabbed a sword. They men were paying her no attention so she took the chance and slipped away into the night. Kik didn;t return to her human Uncle, her only living relative now on the human side. Instead in order to protect him she chose to live on the road, knowing that she would be pursued wherever she went. Kik taught herself to fight and took to it quite naturally, never staying in one place for more than a couple days, fighting off her uncle's men as was needed and helping any others that were in need along the way. She killed demons and protected those who were weak by defeating those who would oppress and manipulate them.

Every Psychic has a main ability. Psychics can use other abilities. The stronger the main ability, the harder it is to do any others/ Each ability has an opposite ability that cannot be used

On Rare occasion a psychic is born equal in all four powers. If this is the case they must choose to give up one power, by never practicing it. If three powers are used first the four will automatically be counted forfeit. Powers that are usually exclusive cannot be used at the same time.

Descriptions

The Main Four


Reading= The ability to hear someone else's thoughts as if they spoke it. The reach of this ability is directly proportional to the strength of the ability. A very very powerful read can read thoughts within a very large radius and can dig deep, and break weak barriers

Barrier= The ability to block your mind from all other psychic abilities. This ability can be broken past by very powerful readers or puppeteers

Puppeteers= The ability to control another's mind, bending them to your will. Strong puppeteers can control multiple targets at once. Psychics using puppeteering as a minor ability will be harder pressed to control a strong minded individual, especially when trying to force them to take deadly action again themself or someone important to them

Whisperers= The ability to hear the thoughts of the spirits of the recently dead, or any that linger. Last thoughts, and last word come from these and most spirits, when a whisperer is nearby will depart words for their close family.



Special Abilities


Thought projections= The ability to out your thoughts directly into the head of another. Pictures in your head, places you remember, words and the sort can all be projected. Even the memory of a smell. Once could use this ability to speak when gagged or unable or to put horrifying images into the head of the enemy.

Aura reading= The ability to see a persons Aura. Though they need to be versed into exactly what all the colours mean Aura readers have a natural sense that make them afraid when near a deadly aura or happy when near a good one

Telekinesis= the ability to move objects with your mind. When practice in this ability one can move quite sizable objects that they wouldn't otherwise be able to and even, with focus, lift themselves into the air, though this is hard to acheive

Pheromone Scent= The ability to smell one's pheromones. this allows the user to be great matchmakers, matching scents between two people in order to find a suitable partner for them. Though there might be many compatible people sometimes you will find someone with a perfectly matching scent. If paired with a close one, the pheromones will sync after a period of time, becoming identical. The person suitable for the psychic themselves will appear to have no scent at all

The Grey Sickness

An illness that is strictly found in psychics.
When a person strains their body they're more susceptible to getting sick. Following the same idea if you overuse of psychic powers makes you more susceptible to the grey sickness. Though symptoms may appear the same as a normal illness (fever, sore throat, etc) normal remedies will not cure it, though they may subdue the symptoms for a short time.


There are two ways to recover from the Grey Sickness:

1: Stop the use of all psychic abilities, allowing the brain to rest and therefore become strong enough to purge the illness.

2: There are a series of treatments developed by the doctors of the sanctuary, though no one outside of them knows what it is exactly they do

Without doing either of these it is nearly impossible to get rid of the sickness


The grey sickness is not contagious.

History:Rose was the daughter of an aristocratic family in great Britain. Raised by her governess and doting parents she grew up intelligent and caring. When she was 14 she was journeying across the British isle with her parents when they were attacked by pirates. These were not the normal sort of pirates, they avoiding killing innocents and were more interested in simply robbery and not harming. Unfortunately the passengers reacted violently to the sight of the approaching pirates and while try to mount a defense they ended up setting the ship on fire and blowing up the gunpowder and ammunition. The ship in flames resulted in the deaths of everyone aboard except Rose, who was pulled from the flames by the pirate captain. The captain, being a kind man took the girl in and Rose became part of the pirate family aboard the Blood Baron. She continued to grow well, treated by the captain as if she was his daughter she learned the trade quickly and easily, her proper upbringing proving to be an asset in some ventures. When the captain died Rose, now 22, ascended to his position as captain and became known as Blood Rose, sailing the sea, robbing and pillaging, yet always leaving everyone alive

History:Lilah's mother was the princess of an ancient kingdom that was destroyed in a war. She was captured by an unknown being and raped, giving birth to Lilah. Lilah's father (Ares/mars) then brought her to the future and gave her to a rich family that raised her as their own, not knowing exactly what she was. She is the head cheerleader of her school as well as the most popular and hottest girl in school.

History:Psyche was a human princess who was praised for her beauty. Many men turned from worshipping Aphrodite. Goddess Of Beauy, to worship her instead. This made Aphrodite jealous and in her jealousy she requested a favour from Eros, God of Love. Aphrodite asked Eros to make Psyche fall in love with the most hideous and poor man there was. But when Eros saw Psyche he loved her instantly. Compelled by a prophecy saying that Psyche was fated to marry a monster and find her way to him at the top of the highest mountain, she convinced her parents to bring her. Because in their minds they were sacrificing her they brought her to the mountain in funeral attire and left her. Once everyone was gone Zephyrus the west wind picked her up and carried her to Eros' secret palace.
At night he came to her and told her that as long as she promised never to try seeing his face he would come back every night and love her. And so they were wed.
When she grew lonely being left by herself during the day she requested permission to bring her sisters there. Jealous of Psyche's life of luxury her sisters convinced her to find out who her husband was and that night she took a lantern and looked at her.
Eros left her, fleeing from her side in response
Determined to find her love Psyche appealed to Aphrodite who promised to help at the completion of try and impossible tasks.Psyche completely most of them with the help of lesser gods who took pity on her but when bringing a box to Aphrodite she let temptation best her and opened it, resulting in her being put in a deep sleep.
Upon finding her and hearing of Aphrodite's deception Eros went to Zeus and appealed to him. Zeus granted his wish and revived Psyche and gave her a drink that made her a god.
She became known as Psyche, Goddess of the Soul
