Jakie saluted and ran off to do as Dyten asked, going to where Lilana was with Sandra. Jade looked over in surprised "Finally relieved of your post i see" he smiled, since Jakie had spent most of the time Dyten had been gone protecting Adara
Adara was sitting out on the balcony still, the black veil blowing in the wind. She turned slowly, her face still covered though he would see he eyes clearly. They were empty and emotionless almost as if she could not even see but slowly life seemed to creep into them and a tear fell from her eye "Welcome back" she said after a long moment, her voice quiet and hoarse from not speaking for so long. She moved to stand but seemed very weak, her body that had previously been slim but muscled now was a more sickly slim from not moving around for so long

Dyten moved over to her instantly, taking her in his arms. He held her close, burying his face against her as a few tears came to his own eyes. "I am sorry I kept you waiting." He said softly.
Lilana blinked as she looked over towards Jakie and smiled softly. "You look a bit like Papa Dy." She said softly.
"This is Jakie." Sandra said, introducing the young man. "Jakie this is Lilana." She stated before looking up towards Adara's room. A soft smile came to her face as she looked towards Jade.

Adara seemingly collapsed into his arms, her legs weak and mostly leaning on him. She held her in return though her embrace was a lot weaker than it had once been "Welcome home" she said again, closing her eyes, her voice still weak. As she held him the room seemed to get brighter as the shadows that had been lining the entire room while he was gone retracted into her and the fire from the torches were finally able to shine at full light
Jakie looked at her "Dyten is my cousin. Kind of, i think" he looked at Jade who nodded confirming that then back at Lilana "why do you call him Papa?"

Lilana shrugged. "I don't know. I think partly because I never had a papa and he is what I imagine a good papa would be like." Lilana stated. "He saved me and has kept me safe since we left the bad place."
Dyten gently lifted her up and carried her over to the bed, setting her down so she was a bit more comfortable. He kept his arms around her though did lift one hand to touch her cheek. He leaned down and kissed her softly before pulling back to look at her once more. "I am so sorry, Adara." He said softly once more.

Adara kissed him back gently and looked up at him as he apologized. She didn;t respond though but simply leaned her head against his chest and closed her eyes, listening to his heart and breaths
"My papa is dead" Jakie said, sitting down "Dyten took care of me and kept me safe. But then we went to the war so i protected Adara for him"

Lilana nodded as she moved over to Jakie and sat down with him. "I didn't know my papa, but momma is gone. She went to the stars." She said before looking over towards Claret and the others there then towards Jakie. "I am sorry he was gone so long."
Dyten just held her. "Have you eaten anything?" He asked her softly.

"I'm sorry your mom is dead" Jakie said looking at her "It's ok. I know he wanted to come home" he looked at her "So what are you?" he asked bluntly
"Jakie" Jade said shaking his head "it's not polite to ask that"
Jakie frowned a little "But i want to know" he looked at her "are you a falcon?"
Adara nodded "A little" she said quietly. She was quiet for a little "Sorry" she said after a bit, knowing that seeing her like this was paining him

"No apologies." Dyten told her. "Lets just focus on getting you better." He said. "I gotta have someone to kick my butt and keep me in line." He said softly with a weak smile as he looked at her.
Lilana laughed softly. "Bat." She said as she spread her bat like wings out. "But rare because I prefer day and I am not blind or limited in vision. Light hurts my eyes but I can see during the day." She stated. "Momma was the same way. They called us crystal bats or something like that because of it." She said, tilting her head slightly. "I am not even sure what bat's can do. I was born in the salve pits and have been there for six years." She said looking between them. "That's where they brought papa Dy. I think they were trying to hide him."

Jade blinked a little surprised and Jakie smirked in satisfaction having thought she wasn;t falcon or human "that;s cool" he said looking at her then frowned hearing about the slave pits "stupid bad people. I hope Dyten goes back and saves everyone" he said nodding his head, not liking the idea of slaves, especially kids
Adara laughed a little weakly "Jakie can do that" she said "I can't beat you anymore" she knew she had let herself get weak so her ablity to move and fight like she once had was not something she was physically capable of anymore

Dyten tilted his head slightly as he looked at her and gently brushed a few strands out of her face. "Why don't you get some rest?" He suggested. "I'll have something brought up for you to eat when you wake and I can get you a tea that can help you rest fully." He said looking at her.
Lilana smiled softly as she looked down then blushed a bit as her stomach growled. She laid a hand on her stomach as Sandra laughed softly. "I'll get cook to make you something. Jakie...stay with her for a bit?" She said with a smile before moving off to go get something to eat for the girl.

"Dyten all i've done is sit and sleep" she said quietly. A small smile came to her face knowing this familiar amount of concern all too well
"Of course" Jakie said looking at the girl "Dyten says we should be friends" he told her

Lilana looked towards Jakie. "So I am staying here?" She asked, looking between the others, showing that the girl was rather intelligent for her age. She knew she was an orphan and figured that she would go to the orphanage upon arriving there, but Dyten had no intention of letting that happen, not after the promise to the girls mother.
Dyten nodded once. "Alright." HE said. Dyten glanced towards Adara. "There is someone I want you to meet. I wasn't the only one who escaped the slave pits. I was able to rescue a little girl about Jakie's age." He told her. "Her mother is the reason we were able to escape, though she passed away in the process." Dyten told her. "Lilana is her name and she has been quite eager to meet you."

Adara smiled gently "Always the soft spot for the kids" she said looking at him, this sort of thing being very him
Jakie nodded "Of course. Dyten took you in didn't he?" he said looking at her "That means you live here now"

Lilana nodded once before looking over towards the others a bit surprised by everything and suddenly feeling a bit shy about the whole thing.
Dyten laughed softly. "Do you want me to bring her up here or do you want me to take you down to meet her?" He asked, letting her make the choice. He didn't want to push her to do something she didn't want to.

Jakie got up and offered her his hand Adara is the queen and she's not like other nobility.she's nice. You'll see. I know it's scary. If you're afraid that this place is so big you can come live with my mom and me. We have a small house in town. It's not as big and scary"
"I'll try to walk" Adara said getting weakly to her feet. She was about to head for the door when she saw her reflection and her mourning clothes and smiled slightly "perhaps it's time to change first" the more she spoke the stronger get voice got. Though it was still weak it was less hoarse than originally
