Alera blinked in surprise at Sandra's words "Dyten....took you flying?" she asked, hardly believing her ears
Eleanor smiled at the little girl and looked over at the queen "Yes, You're Majesty." she said softly "He was very kind to me and offered to take me up. It was quite a wonderful experience." she looked at Sandra "It was very fun"
Adara normally caught the rock when he tossed it at her but this time she didn't even seem to realize he had thrown it, lost in her head at the moment which was unusual for her

Dyten frowned when he saw that she didn't recognize him throwing the rock her way. He glanced towards Ryu and shook his head slightly before getting to work, figuring he would talk to her at lunch.
Sandra smiled before looking towards Alera then back at Eleanor. "I am glad you had fun."

Ryu also seemed a little surprised, noticing that Dyten had tried to get her attention and she hadn;t noticed, which was especially strange since in theory she should have heard that he wanted her to look over before he even thrown the rock
"I'm sure that Torrent gives you trips flying too, doesn't he?" Eleanor asked smiling

Sandra shook her head no. "I've only flown twice." She told her. "Once when he saved me and one other time the other day." She said with a smile.
"Sandra....." Treva said, not wanting Sandra to go into details about that.
Dyten frowned, it being hard for him to focus with wondering what was going on with Adara. Finally he had to take a break and moved over to the female. "Adara." He called her name as he moved over.

Eleanor smiled "Well you should ask him to take you up sometime so you can see how pretty is it" she said gently
Adara looked over and blinked seeing him come over "Oh, Dy. Hi. When did you get out here?" she asked, not realizing how much time had passed but knowing that the direction he was coming from meant he hadn't only just gotten out there

Sandra nodded once with a smile as she finally moved to take her seat so that she could eat.
"We just took our first break from morning training." Dyten told her. "What's going on with you?" He asked her. "I even threw a rock at you to get your attention like I normally do and you just let it hit you."

"You did?" she asked surprised looking around "How long have i been out here for then?" she looked at him "I'm sorry, Dy, I just have a lot on my mind. Felicia is sick, and ...well other things on my mind, just trying to weigh through them and i think best when I'm swinging my sword around so i came out to practice." she smiled slightly "How was your walk last night?"

Dyten nodded once in response. "You've been out here a while." He told her. "You missed breakfast from the sounds of it." He shook his head slightly. "You know you can talk to me, Adara." He stated. "And it was fine. Took her for a flight, think I scared her a little when I revealed my wings." he muttered. "But she seemed to enjoy it, until it got to cold."

"She enjoyed it" Adara smiled slightly "She was thinking about it the rest of the night" she said, twisting her sword in her hand "Her room was right under mine" she looked at him and smiled "You've got her quite smitten with you. But then again, you've never taken a girl up for a flight before, so she's also seemed to peak some interest from you" she looked back out at the field "We're sure growing up aren't we? I remember you first learning how to fly like it was yesterday"

Dyten shrugged. "I just figured she might enjoy the time away from her family, especially after her sister's outburst yesterday." Dyten told her. "You know I don't like seeing girls cry, especially because others are being idiots." He blinked a few times. "It was a pain." He muttered, referring to when he learned to fly. He had actually ended up with a broken arm due to crashing pretty hard one time when he was caught by the wind.

Adara laughed at him recalling that "Well she did" Adara sheathed her sword and looked at him turning now fully too him "You like her. Even when you've seen girls cry you've never gone out of your way for them like that. The only women you've ever gone out of your way for were Felicia, Mom and myself. It's a good thing. You need more than just me to spend time with. Eventually you needed someone else in your life to open up too." she seemed to feel a little torn about that last statement but she meant it at the same time. She enjoyed being the only person Dyten truly relied on

Dyten nodded once. "You still joining me on patrol this evening?" He asked her, deciding to change the subject away from Eleanor since he was still a bit unsure himself about the whole situation. It had just felt good to make her smile, but he wasn't reading much into it at the moment.

"Of course. I like patrolling and it's definitely better than being stuck at dinner with Lord Stares-a-lot" she said with a slight smirk "I...." her stomach growled and she laughed "Time to eat"

Dyten laughed a bit. "Yeah." He nodded once in agreement to her statement about Eleanor's father. "I should get back to work. See you this evening, Adara." He said with a smile. "Oh and there is a gift for you in your room." He stated. "A late birthday present." He said, since their sixteenth birthdays had been only two months prior. His birthday had been set to be the same as Adara's since no one was really sure what his exact date of birth was, due to the way he had arrived in Akrita no more then a few days after he was born.

"You know you never need to get me a present" Adara smiled. She moved over and hugged him briefly "alright. I'm going to come out again after eating a little and maybe the guard can spare you for a spar " she smiled before heading inside. She grabbed a bun from the kitchen and went up to her room to see what Dyten got her
