"Whatever you say, princess." Vane stated as he moved to the position she asked him to take. He rolled his eyes once her back was turned and looked in the direction of the nets. "Let's get going." He smirked as the game started. He moved easily, not once paying attention to what Lilah was hoping he would.

Lilah was good. She moved fast and could jump high. One could tell the only reason that Vane was able to play is because she would purposely let a few past her so her teammate could play the game.
She was thinking a lot while she played, wondering about the ice earlier. Was is really an illusion like Josh had said? It had seemed so real, yet it had disappeared the instant she touched it. |

Vane eventually grew bored again and soon backed out of the game with a yawn. He could tell she was barely letting him play and it actually irritated him a bit. Deciding that he was sick of the class he chose to skip out on the rest and headed outside to burn time until his last class. He could be found hanging upside down from one of the lower branches of the tallest oak tree. The limb was at least an easy seven foot off the ground.
Vane had both ear buds in his ears and his eyes were closed. However, he could easily tell when someone was getting close to him by their body heat and by a few other ways.

Lilah noticed suddenly that he was gone and after class was through she went to find him. She had been being nice simply because she wanted it to benefit her in chemistry but now she was angry, and she wouldn't let her chemistry mark stop her
"Hey!" she yelled once she found him on the tree, a hand on her hip "Who the hell do you think you are? I let you be my partner and you just ditch out? Do you know how many guys would kill to have been on my team you punk ass, metal-head freak" she said, her voice poisonous
"Lilah! We have practice!" a girl yelled across the yard
Lilah turned with a hmph and walked across the schoolyard to the football field, fuming
She couldn't stay in a foul mood long, because she got focused on practice. She did flips and slips and danced better and with more grace then any of the other cheerleaders and actually did flips up the side of the cheerleader pyramid before landing on the top, feet together and her hands in a Y shape. To her cheerleading was a sport, and she was the best at it |

Vane opened his eyes and looked at her. "I am not most guys. I thought you had figured that out by now." He said with a smirk. When she went to practice he watched from the sidelines. He was curious about her, especially after his ice disappeared simply from her touch. "She must be like me." He muttered to himself as he tossed a solid ball of ice between his hands. When she finished he smirked and looked towards her with his icy blue eyes, both ear buds still in his ears, though the music was so low it was almost silent.

After a couple hours most of the girls went home but Lilah stayed until after dark practicing her moves and routines. She demanded perfection of herself. It wasn't enough for her to be the best, she needed to be flawless.
She grabbed a water bottle out of her bag and took a swig before pulling her barrette out and shaking her hair loose. She put the bottle back and picked up her bag, checking the time on her cellphone. Nine o'clock. She sighed and threw her bag over her shoulder, ready for the long walk home, not bothering to change out of the cheerleader uniform |

Vane caught up to her since he was headed home in the same general direction. He was still tossing the ball of ice between his hands and occasionally up in the air. "Pretty impressive. And the reason I ditched earlier is because you had no need for me. You were simply being kind and letting me play a few shots. I was getting bored and had no need to stick around. Besides...it isn't good for me to get bored." He smirked as he tossed the ice up and let it shatter apart and disappear. "Want a ride home? My harley is right around the corner and will get you there alot faster then walking."

Lilah didn't so much as glance over at him
"No thanks." she said simply "I've had guys try to before. No way I'm letting you know where I live. I have enough pervs stalking me, thank you. I'm fine walking" as she walked out of the parking lot a guy on the street sent a wolf whistler her way. "Follow me and I'll call the cops" she yelled for Vane to hear before walking off down the road that was lit only by the streetlamps
The guy who had whistled changed the direction he was walking to follow her |

Vane kept walking, as he was headed home as well. When he saw the guy follow, his eyes flaired and seemed to glow in the darkness. He easily moved up behind the guy and whispered, "Walk away or you die." His tone was eary and icy at the same time. The temperatures dropped drastically and the guy would be able to see his breath in the air.

The guy left, fast, not even glancing to see who had comeup behind him
Lilah's house was at the end of a large drive. It was a large manor, with a wall surrounding it.
Lilah walked up to the gate, punching in the code and a small door in the date opened, letting her in and closing securely behind her. She walked towards the door, past a large fountain and three very expensive cars and into the house.
Her parents didn't even come down to greet her. She simply made her way up the stair to her room. She showered in her personal bathroom before dressing for bed and going to sleep
The next morning she got up, did her hair and put on a designer dress that was fitted until her hips and had a gathered flounce. She walked downstairs and put on a pain of heeled sandals.
When she stepped out the door she greeted the gardener with a smile
"Walking again today, Ms Evans?" He asked
Lilah smiled kindly "Football season" she pointed out "have to stay in shape"
The gardener smile "Don't think i've ever seen you out of shape, even as a toddler"
Lilah laughed and walked out through the gate, ready to start the walk towards school |

Vane went home which was not to far up the road from her and was a rather nice house. He said hey to his parents before heading up to his room to jam and sleep for the rest of the night.
He woke early and headed outside after getting ready. He was in his front yard with his ear buds in when she walked by His mother was moving boxes in, as they were still moving things into the house from the moving truck. When Lilah walked by he raised a brow before shaking his head slightly. He then started for school, glancing towards her then back ahead. "Still irritated with me?" He asked when he was within ear shot of her.

Lilah actually glanced at him this time and rolled her eyes "What do you want, Antonio" She asked. "You do realize that i was only being nice to you to begin with because i wanted you to eagerly do all my chemistry homework for me, right? That's how it works. You get partnered with someone who's a good student. Flirt with them so they do your homework and as a reward you let them get to second base for the first time in their life. Then you ditch them once the semester's over. You just managed to get on my nerves before you got the chance. In a day too, it's quite an accomplishment" |

"y figured that out. I just want to know how the hell you did it." He was referring to the ice. He shifted his bag and said, "by the way,you shouldn't have to worry about that moron from last night." He smirked as he glanced towards her. "And wasn't tryibg to irritate you. I just don't like being bored. I am sure you understand since you stay so busy."

She stopped and turned to face him,pulling the earbuds out of his ears
"Fine. You want to keep busy." Lilah moved close to him, getting in his face a little "Since we're stuck working together all semester I'll give you another chance. You help me get an A and I might even sleep with you. And join a team. football, soccer, I don't care, as long as it keeps you busy, right? You can even join the cheer squad. we need more guys for the lifts anyways" she turned and began walking again "And don't pretend I know what you mean. I don't even know if i believe what whole ice thing was an illusion or not" |

Vane narrowed his eyes which started glowing as they had done the nighy before and the air once again grew extreamly cold. He finally just said, "Then expect to pull your own wait. I don't bow down to anyone." His eyes returned to normal as he walked past her. He made it to school and put up with his classes until the one he had with Lilah. He sat in his seat, chatting wirh one of the girls from Lilah's possy. He was actually flirting a bit, not caring who heard.
